I miss the leveling up online, but the racing has been fun with others. I ran some really nice races with the NASCAR cars. They took a lot of the bs out of it as well. Those that are a lap down or being a pain in the neck are ghosted, so they cannot mess up others while they are racing.
I also agree with the early comment. I was ready to trade this back in after a two days as I really wasn't getting into the offline portion, but after a couple of more plays and some advancement, I think it will hang around in my collection.Comment

The best way to measure up against other people online is to play against them. I'm so tired of endless and useless leveling systems that simply are an outlet for people to stroke their egos. They only really reward participation anyway, and aren't representative of skill.
I do agree that not having online leagues is a huge oversight.
Overall, I love this game. It took far too long to come out and two or three of the cars are terribly rendered. The tracks are vary from good to incredible. I haven't used the editor yet, but I'll be digging into that soon.Comment

Re: Gran Turismo 5 Review
Maybe because Metal is so close to classical in the note fashions!
But still, I like the smooth classical jazz sound. It is very relaxing and what it is supposed to be in this type of game. And has always been this way.
I don't need thrashing music or hip hop, if I do, then I just use the built in custom soundtrack option.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Same here! I am a fan of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, and I love the classical music.
