Re: Gran Turismo 5: Cars - Purchase, Trade and Share

Ok, guys! You might say go to hell or get lost but here's my feabile attempt anyway...

I'm making it a personal challenge to collect every darn touring car in this game. I don't have anything to offer but my gratitude and friendship.

Touring cars usually have decals and are labeled Touring to distinguish them. However, keep in mind that some are not labeled as Touring cars.

If you would like to help my cause, please gift it on over. I will post the names of each person who donates. Again, there's no catch, I'm just looking for some help. Thanks!

I got one too... you can do one of two things; 1) learn to drift in the arcade mode. you'd have to change your settings to simulation, turn off all assists, and traction control. It's soooooo fun once you get the hang of it. as far as I know, drifting is near impossible with the controller, you'd need a wheel.
or 2) buy a Variable Limited Slip Differential or VLSD. change you settings ESPECIALLY for acceleration. It will prevent your wheels from spinning out from underneath the car.

It really helps to know a bit about cars to tune them right. People run away from rear wheel drive cars, but if you tune them the right way, IMO, they are the best cars in the game. Alternatively, you can really f*ck up the handling if you don't know what you're doing. Lol. If anybody has any rear-wheelers you don't want, i'm willing to trade a FF. hit me up!!

Drifting is definitely not impossible or near impossible with a controller. I'm not great at drifting, but I can drift some turns if I manage the throttle correctly. Usually, I put too much gas and spin out the entire car. I know people who don't own a wheel and are great at drifting. Others even try to convert from being using a pad to a wheel and they just can't do it.

Also, anyone finish those 2 races in the Expert Series, Historic Race Cup and Gran Turismo All Stars? They're full of race cars and there is always that 1 car who pulls out way ahead of everyone. If you did, mind if I borrowed your car just for a bit?

Dunno if it's as rare as pink, but is anyone interested in a midnight purple paint item? I bought a used Skyline in that color and I'll gift it to anyone who wants it.

It's not a bad car in the first place....4WD, 324 HP, a bit on the heavy side at 1550 kg, though. I just have my Japanese 90's requirement filled already, so I don't really have any need for it (other than the color)

I have a Saleen S7 '00 I will give away to anyone who wants it. I bought it used in hopes of winning the Expert Series American Championship B-Spec...and could not. It's max tuned.

I have the Toyota Racecar '70 you can use. I am pretty sure it is max tuned. Won A & B Spec with it.

I've never transferred cars...what do I need to do to get it to you?

Simple: Add folks to your friends list. Once they accept they will appear in your GT Home section under Profile and Community. To gift a car option (little ribbon icon), select it from the Garage and scroll to gift car. (Make sure you do not have the car being gifted as the selected car to race.

Can I test drive the Saleen? If so, gift it on over. I'll take the Toyota Racecar '70 since I'm collecting them. Thanks!

Once you gift a car it is removed from your garage correct?

I need the racecar first! None of my cars are able to win it. I wasted 700k on tuning and I usually come in 2nd because of a single car who's just so dominant to the rest of the competition.

Yes, it is. So don't gift something unless you're sure you won't want it later.

Gotcha guys, thanks. So I assume "share" in the thread topic means "gifting"?

Also, is there a livery online for cars? Like an auction house yet? I know Yamauchi wants to add it, not sure if it was added or not.
