Re: Gran Turismo 5: Cars - Purchase, Trade and Share

Just hopped on and accepted the car bruise sent me but I can't find it in my garage! Is there a delay from when you accept to when you receive it?

Also, I updated my first post with a link to a website with all the cars listed.

It's a standard car, not a Premium....did you check there?

That sucks if it won't show in your garage...but it would have given you the paint color as soon as you got the "you own this car now" screen, right (the black screen where the car rolls up with its lights on), wouldn't it? Did you not get that screen?

I restarted my ps3 and now it's ready for delivery! Success! Thanks again, Brian!

Haven't seen the BMW 320i Touring Car though.

I couldn't send it until the friend request was accepted. I'm in the middle of an endurance B-Spec race now. I'll shoot it to you as soon as it's finished.

As far as a car for me...if you run across a 90' or 2000's model Corvette Racecar...I'd take that. I can't remember the exact model that is in this game. It's pricey though. So no worries if it's too much.

I just received the car and doing the races now

Note: This car is so ugly... when I first saw it after accepting the gift, I thought the front didn't render or something. It's so plain.

Oh my god... I hate this habit.... Every time I'm doing a championship series, I always QUIT instead of hitting NEXT and have to start all over. I just did this like 4 times now. I always forget it's a championship series, so I just go right real quick and keep pressing x.

I'll trade someone a used Shelby Mustang GT350R '65 (white w/ blue stripes) for a used '69 Chevy Camaro SS.

You better fix that quick. You get into a 2 hour race...and do that...ouch.

If no one trades you, I can gift you the Camaro tomorrow. I plan on giving this race car back in the next hour. I wish there wasn't a limit on cars gifted per day.

                        The SS version or Z28?

                        There's a limit?
                        That is kinda dumb.

No sweat on the car. Just whenever you are finished. You don't have to rush to finish using it. Your B-Spec guy will need it too.

                        Thanks.

And I don't need a Corvette Racecar any longer.
I just bought a new one and added the racing mods to it...which I didn't know you could do until I saw it on the site RunN1st linked...so thank you for that.
It won A and B Spec for the American Championship.

Speaking of B-Spec drivers, I noticed you can select them to "Share with friends", just as you can with cars. They show up in the 6 boxes above the car slots on a person's profile. My question is, is there any point to putting anything (car or driver) in those boxes except to be used a a personal "showroom" of sorts? If I select a car from another person's profile, it simply shows me a full-screen view of the car along with the most basic information.

My PSN is the same as it is here, and if you want to send a friend invite to look at my profile you can - it's nothing special, he's just a Lv. 3 driver (My main one is L11, and I think I'm L12 overall in BSpec), but I just wondered if there's any reason to even use that screen.

I am guessing this is purely for bragging. Not sure why you'd brag about B-Spec though...it just means you really have no life and have time to waste sitting watching the computer race for you.

I have 3 B-Spec drivers all over level 20...so I am an authority on the subject.
