Ginolboli just dropped 52 on me online!

He euro stepped and spin moved the entire game. He just take the ball out of bounds, and literally run strait down the court and euro step right thur my defense. Even in half court he would dribble till he got a little separation then perform the euro step. Ginolboli literally just walked right thru my d the entire game. I play man-to-man as I always do, with help d all the way up, he still got thur, and he either got a foul or a lay up. His gamertag ICONZ8686 xbox360.

you should have just played off ball against him, players like him use the slight lag to get around human controlled players but most cant get around the cpu defense.

A guy just did the same thing to me with russel westbrook...he scored 12 of 14 first quarter points with the euro step. Its harder to stop than you'd think

Could you just play as the C or PF and the let the AI defend? Then if he come in the lane try to defend against the layup. Could that work?

I am not big into online play because people cheat or take advantage of the game.

zone will not work because it gives them plenty of space to pull off the euro step or spin move. The computer cant even stop it when you let the play D, the best way to stop it I believe is to do a half court trap.

I could go 48 with rudy and not just dunks.HIs step back fade gets so much seperation its ridiculous.

Off bal d with one of your bigs till he quits.I hate to do it to but like one of the guys above me said the slight lag makes it easier to blow past human controlled defenders.

This is typically how I defend but it doesn't work too well. Paint collision barely exists.
I've seen players clip and morph through each other in the paint too often

yeah its Gino and a few other players that can magically get around people with the eurostep.
There are more moves in the game this year offensively unfortunately there are not enough defensive counters, so for every 50 new moves added it may be 1 defensive counter added...that's why bumping was added to mask the defensive deficiencies in the game.

I think the eurostep is very balanced for the most part online. If it was being abused majorly, I'd be the first one to complain. I would change my defense if I was being killed by the euro step.

The euro step, and LT layups in general are not all bad. They are a good way to get to the basket and avoid contact.

                          This clip is from online.

I love what the patch did in this instance. I was able to drive around a slower Ilgauskas(before the patch I would have gotten bumped) and use a LT layup to avoid contact. In my experience you take your chances with euro step layups. Sometimes you get blocked, so it's not a guarentee and I have seen way more contact post patch.

It's not abusable, just effective when used correctly. There are defensive counters for them, and if you contest the finish they'll miss more often than not.

I love using layup modifiers for the purpose of drawing the defense on the drive and kick. Passing out of the initial move looks great and gives the most accurate representation I've seen of drive and kick in a game.

I rarely see anyone else using it consistently for this purpose, though I guess it would be considered an "advanced move". You can actually bring up icon passing while the initial move is playing out and make a quick decision when passing angles open up.

What's even better is, if the initial modifier move draws a foul from a defender they won't make the pass even if you've queued it, and you get 2 shots at the line. Win win.

I did not know you could bring up the pass icons. Thats really good to know.
