Academic Prestige

How to improve this pitch with your school in a dynasty. Im in my 2036 yr and now im down to a D. It never went up. it seem like every 3-5 yrs, it go down a level. i don't get it. anyone else have this problem

I read it is random. Has a 10% chance of changing each year. I could be wrong though

I know in the past it was tied to the awareness of the players you recruited and had on your team, so if you recruited all guys with D- awareness then eventually your Academic Prestige would fall. I thought that it didn't change this year, but I could be wrong.

I'm at Cal in 2016, I know it started as A when I got there but it has gone up to an A+. I was at Toledo for two seasons prior never saw theirs change. I would say it is random though because the majority of schools would see a decrease in Academics as the years go, seeing that AWR is just overall lower than the default rosters as you go. Some guys have huge AWR, my current QB has 90+, the majority I believe are 70's and underclassmen in the 60's sometimes 50's.

I always thought was asking players to stay when they are trying to go pro.

Yeah I agree with the guy above. I feel like if too many guys leave early my academic prestige goes down, but if I get guys to stay 4 years and graduate it goes up. Could be coincidental though

according to EA, there is a small chance for it to go up or down every year. your performance/action has no effect on it.

I keep seeing this "devs say..." mentioned in threads, but I'm just not buying it. Started out with a B+ and have fallen all the way down to a C. I know that only sounds like two increments but it has been a C, w/o any fluctuation, for the past 4-5 seasons. If it was random, my ranking wouldn't be stuck. There simply has to be something behind the curtian -- AWR measurables, Acad. interest of recruit, JUCO numbers, leaving early for the pros -- that affects this ranking.
The only way at this point I'll think differently is if someone running a 20+ year dynasty can tell me the swing/trend tracks over 7-10 years. Otherwise, I'll believe it's something I'm doing that's affecting this.

He's right. You should check out the developer blogs at ea they are always giving tips and info out.

It still gotta be a reason why your rating drop. it can't drop just because. I went from B+ to D+. didn't improve over none of my years. i always though making your players stay to the 4th yr. but most of my players redshirts and they leave their RS JR or SR yr anyways so either way they stay 4-5 years. then i though maybe if u pitch them academics although your rating is bad, it will improve next yr.....Im doing that now and seeing what happens

I just don't buy this "randomly changes" business either. In every single Louisville dynasty I've run, it's gone down half a point every two years until it gets down to D or D+ and then never changes again. I get nearly all of my players to stay four years.

IMHO, the dev's are probably telling the truth -- 'randomly' increases or decreases a little -- but I think it's only a half-truth. If you think about it, why would they out and out tell us all the little secrets? I think someone smarter than me just has to figure the back-half of the story out and then tell the rest of us...
