Re: Forza Motorsport 4 Debut Trailer and Box Art

This is the thing that's kinda irritating me with GT5. Besides the driving model, which at times can be weird, there's nothing in the game that you can say "pushes" the genre. Now this leaves Forza 4 with the option of just resting on it's laurels. Despite what GT5 fanboys may think, it's not very difficult to get Forza to handle like GT5. Infact, if memory serves me correct, FM2 had alot to it that handled like GT5 really with everything turned off. GT5 straight out the box handles pretty much like Forza 3. The only thing I like with GT5 is the elevation changes in the tracks. Forza's tracks are pretty much flat for the most part and don't really have the radical elevation changes like in GT5 except for Nurnburgring GT and Maple Valley.

GT5 has made me kinda worried about where the racing game genre is headed. It's real easy for Turn10 to look at GT5 say "Well that wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Hey let's not rock the boat, we got a winning formula"
