#1 Alabama fell to #2 Auburn, the Tigers jump to #1 heading into the SEC title game. I was happy to see Bama lose and now I'm hoping to see Auburn go the national championship, where they'll most likely face Boise. Too bad Oregon couldn't hang in there, it'd be sweet if my dynasty actually got the title game right.
    I'll take 50% right though.
Very cool, mine got Oregon right, but since I beat AU in the SEC Championship they fell to #6.

In my Dynasty, I am now 4-1 with the Florida Gators. A great game (13-21) against Alabama that turned out to be my first loss. I came back with a big win (27-17) over LSU however that reminded me a lot of my game against Auburn earlier in the year. Alabama is now #1 in the polls, and I lay at #8 with a game against

            Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

I just beat #9 Nebraska 38-25 to move to 4-0. They got up 13-0 early on me, and I couldn't get anything going offensively, my defense was struggling, but then I got a nice 3rd down scramble from my QB Guiton and it was on from there. My running game picked up in the second half once I wore down their defense, and my passing game was adequate. Only finished with 269 total yards of offense, but I did enough to get the job done. Jordan Hall returned another punt for a TD, this time at a crucial point to break the game open, as he turned a 21-13 battle into a rout. I got up 35-13, when Nebraska scored a TD, recovered an onside kick and scored again, but failed to get the 2 pts both times.

Taylor Martinez and Nebraska's RB tore me a new one though, I got carved up defensively. Haven't seen my guys miss that many tackles before. My defensive line did pretty dominate the second half though, they flustered Martinez numerous times although they didn't get a sack. Here's a video of their RB just... ape****ing my defense:

Im doing a Virginia Tech dynasty as well. 9-4 in year 1, 12-2 with an Orange Bowl win in year 2. Now in year 3, we're 7-0 & ranked #2 in the country. Heading to Clemson for the next game.

                          Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

Hey guys, I'm back with another update. Heres a quick rundown of how my Dynasty has been going.

                          Summary:

I am in my third year as coach of the University of Florida Gators, I have a career record of 26-6 and have gone 6-4 against top 25 squads. I won an SEC Championship in my first two years, but more on that later. I have lost two BCS Bowl games, neither one was very close. Thus far, I am 7-3 against Rivals.

                          2010:

A really tough year where I couldn't find my identity. I would go from Brantley to Reed, back to to Brantley and eventually began to use a Duel QB system that never really flourished. An opportunity to get to the SEC championship game came against a young USCe squad. Just barely making out of the swamp alive, I had #2 Auburn to deal with in the SEC Championship where a +2 turnover differential helped me take my first SEC Championship back to Gainesville. A 17-6 loss of TCU sealed my season, ending up with a mediocre record of

                          10-4

                          2011:

With a stalwart defense coming back (9 starters), I knew I had a good shot at a repeat. Recruiting was OK in my first year grabbing a top 15 Recruiting class with a Duel Threat QB (Driskel) who was sure to take the starting job in a couple of years. I moved the offense to a standard one-back, ditching the spread in favor of Brantley's QB style. Big wins included Auburn (27-7), FSU (27-14), and Alabama (16-13) in the SEC Championship game. Two losses came from WVU (38-28) in a BCS Bowl game, and a regular season loss to Alabama (21-13)

                          12-2

                          2012:

After grabbing the #2 Recruiting class, I found myself with a wealth of talent but not a whole lot of places to put it. I switched back over to a more spread type of offense, my best player being my RB Gilislee on the Offensive side of the ball and my CB Brown on the defensive side of the ball. Thinking this finally my year to go after a National Title, I barely sneak out a win over Pitt in the Swamp (16-14) and quickly lose another game after to Tennessee (24-21) while rebounding with a close victory over Kentucky (27-24). There will be changes in my offense coming soon. I'm just not sure what yet.

                          3-1

Just wanna share a story about an interesting player I inherited. After toiling at Rochesterton Agricultural and Technical (my teambuilder team) for about a decade and having no luck getting them from the MAC to a BCS conference, I left for the greener pastures of Michigan. I show up there not really sure what I was getting myself into. The defense was rock solid and the punter/kicker was the best I'd ever coached, but the offense was bit of a problem. The offense was built around a solid offensive line, but the skill position players left a lot to be desired. The QB situation in particular was troublesome. I had two candidates for my starting QB: a noodle armed senior who had some functional accuracy or a severely untalented passer who had WR speed that might have some promise in an option type of offense. I chose the latter QB, but because of injuries they basically split time evenly. They didn't even throw two hundred passes. We ran the ball, played good defense, and played the best special teams possible and somehow won the national title.

Anyway, fast forward two years and I've actually got a legitimate starting QB that I brought in myself. He started from day one and I let that old scrambler be his backup. Despite this guy withering away on the bench, he progresses fairly well and ends up being one of my fastest offensive players. So the offseason rolls around and I've got too much depth at QB, so I say "Screw it, I'm putting this guy at WR." He's good enough to be fourth on the depth chart and I even let him be my return man. This guy wasn't my recruit. He was just a holdover from Rich Rod's failed regime, but with a bit of creativity, I got production out of this guy. Moral of the story is that you gotta adapt.

I kept him at tight end, but not by choice. After my first season, his back up martin transferred to Miami, so I was left with him and one more tight end, and I was unable to land any tight end recruits, and his backup was rated a 40 overall, so yeah...I kept him at tight end, and has actually allow me to make some huge plays in the passing game with him. I let JuJu Clayton take the reins at qb after Tyrod, and after one season of struggles, he played well his last year.

Man, that sucks...clemson is a tough school on this game. On NCAA 2010 I lost to them 3 times, once in the ACC title game, and I've struggled with them on NCAA 11 through 4 seasons. That Miami game for you will be tough!

Virginia Tech: Just had a huge win @ #1 Miami. Won 17-10 after being down 10-7 at the half. The Hokies D was the best it's been all year, not allowing an offensive touchdown. THey scored on a Ryan Williams fumble. This has made the BCS title game interesting...We are currently #5 in the rankings, but WV is the only team ranked ahead of us with 0 losses. The rest of the teams, including us, in the top 5 have 1 loss. Hopefully a few of those teams lose and we can get a shot at the Nat'l Champ game. Logan Thomas strained his achilles in the previous game but played through the pain in this game and managed it well enough. RB Ryan Williams rushed for 2 TDs and Myer hit a FG. Home games vs Bowling Green (1-8) and Virginia (3-5) will finish out the regular season for the Hokies. A win against Virginia puts us in the ACC title game and then we'll have to see what happens.
