    2011 NBA All-Star Discussion

So I guess the first returns are in

    CP3/Kobe/Durant/Pau/Yao
    Rondo/Wade/LBJ/KG/Howard

Thus far I'll go with these guys as the 12 best players of each conference:

CP3, Williams, Westbrook, Nash, Kobe, Manu, Durant, Melo, Odom, Griffin or Love, Dirk, Pau

Rondo, Rose, Wade, Allen, LBJ, PP, Amare, KG, Bosh, Horford, Noah, Howard

Freakin Yao doesn't deserve to be there, he'll probably take Griffin or Love's spot

Agreed, though I'd say Boozer is the better choice over Bosh even with his small sample size thus far. Of course a bit of biasness there.

BTW can we just cut off China from voting on the All-Star game? It doesn't even have to be permenant, just like...when Yao is hurt coming into a season or he's likely to get hurt a failsafe activates that locks China out of voting for Centers or just voting period until dude has played X amount of games in the season. 430,000+ votes for dude is ****ing ridiculous.

To be fair, what other center is there in the West? It's not like they are loaded at that spot. Yao is the only "Big Name" center in the west. Next you have who? Al J, Chandler, and Nene? Yao would still probably get voted in without China's assistance.

Not that I want to see Yao in the all star game. I'm just saying.

Since it's really a popularity contest, I won't judge Bynum's vote count too harshly..... REally though, 2nd at the C position . I'm quietly hoping Marc Gasol gets a C nod.

I wouldn't have Boozer over Bosh even with Bosh's poor start. Boozer at this point has missed too many games. Noah's spot is probably up for grabs too since he's going to be out for 8-10 weeks.

What about Chuck Hayes? lol j/k. Yao will start because of the China votes [ridiculous!] but i guess there's no perfect system to please all. Al J will probably replace Yao as the starter and if Bynum can stay healthy until then he should be the back-up.

West PG is tough, Paul,Dwill,Nash,Westbrook all having great years. I think Nash gets the snub.

Yao broke his ankle again, opens up another spot in the starting lineup.

That's why the starting lineup shouldn't be limited the way it is now.

Dirk should be the starting PF and Pau should be the starting C

Also, man who to take between Odom, Blake, Love. I think Odom is better than both of them and his stats aren't that inferior but Blake and Love are both putting up disgusting numbers.

Yeah, I'm right there with you Ex. That's exactly how they should make the lineups as Pow always gets plenty of burn at Center anyways. I don't understand why they can't make exceptions like this for the sake of improving the all star game.

I think Love gets in this year over the other Odom and Blake.

Looks like Bosh lost the Canada vote.
Nice to see Eric Gordon getting a bit of love on there. 3 Clippers up there but they're 5-21.

What? I said it was bias. Besides for what Bosh was SUPPOSED to be doing on this team he's been hot garbage in comparison. Meanwhile starting to get his feet wet, Boozer has been tearing it up.

You do know that this is only the first count? The voting ends in late January so anything can happen...though KG will probably keep his spot.
