Missing on OS: A how to play WIKI

Numerous threads in this forum (and probably for other games as well) ask "How do I do X, how do I do Y". Then, after a very short while, the threads (and the sometimes great answers) disappear on page 2 and beyond, and sometimes it's very hard to re-find them using search.

IMHO this is where a WIKI would shine.

If OS were to set up one, where all OS users have the right to write, we could have a growing knowledge base of how to play NBA 2K11 (and other games), where things like Post Moves, How to play Defense, what plays to pick for your team, what the ratings/sliders/etc. really mean.

I lack the resources (mainly time) to set it up, so I am asking here:

Do you like the idea?
Would you approach the OS leadership to set it up?
Would you write articles for this WIKI?

Awesome Idea. In fact, we should do it for all of our sports games, or at least this year's versions of them.

If this thread picks up steam, the big guys should take notice.

There is already post move and shot stick how-to's that would help a lot if you were going to.

I think that, recently, OS has become more filled with people who want to post instead of read. If they had a specific question, it would be cool to get all of those in one place with fixed links and such. But people are still going to post redundant threads and such if that's what you want to avoid.

If you like the idea, boost this thread and get others to voice their opinion as well. I actually have no idea who of the OS crew would be the right person to approach on this.

There is already post move and shot stick how-to's that would help a lot if you were going to.

It's finding those that is difficult, imho. A Wiki would give players a much quicker access to the how-tos (and other important information).

It's not finding the information that IS there, that bugs me. You need to sift through so much garbage to find the gems - I'd rather spend that time playing (father of two, don't have the time budget I had in school/university any more).

Also - if you want to write an article and post here, that would make a good start, wouldn't it (I have looked into the Wiki software - setting it up wouldn't be a problem for me as I have a dedicated server, but I can't spare the time to administrate/moderate etc. it, that we would need a dedicated team for). So: We need more people buying into this idea.

Definitely a good idea. For me, this is the reason I log into OS. Not to discuss how virtual Chris Paul doesn't have thick enough eyebrows or w/e. Keep up with this idea.

This is an awesome idea. A perfect idea. People could notice it too if it was on a sticky... half of me wants to help because I just graduated and i use to do journalism for a newspaper but at the same time they let me go in a year haha.

I'd like to encourage each and every one of you who wants to support it to write an article - any article and post it here. That way we would a) have some starting content for the WIKI and b) show the powers that be that we are serious, and that there ARE contributors to such a WIKI.
