      NBA Debut
      December 6, 2010

      @

      Heat scorch Bucks
LeBron, Wade lead Heat to 13-point victory

LeBron dunks to earn 2 of his game-high 31 points in the Miami victory

      The Legend: NBA Arrival

      Pre-Game

Legend watched most of the game from the bench, playing 16 minutes in his debut
Although I'm sure I won't play much today, this is still an incredible feeling to see my hard work in the NBA D-League lead me to this moment. It's crazy that in a few hours I'll be sharing the court with modern greats LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. I can tell you one thing though; I'm definitely not looking forward to guarding either one of them. I can picture myself getting posterized already. I just want to go out there tonight, play hard, and hope to make a good impression on Scott Skiles so I can earn a contract and more playing time in the future. I don't think I've been this nervous since the night before the NBA draft.

      Post-Game
That was such a surreal experience... Trying to keep up with James and Wade on defense, scoring my first points in an NBA game, just being on the court with [Corey] Maggette, [Brandon] Jennings and the rest of my teammates.

Legend had a difficult time sticking with Miami's superstars on defense
Now that I've had a taste of NBA basketball, I can't help but wonder what kind of position I'd be in if I hadn't slacked off prior to the summer. Granted, I'd be buried on that deep Los Angeles team but I'd be on a championship contender and likely wouldn't have this reputation I do now. Nothing I can do about the past at this point, though. I just need to continue working hard to prove that I can be a starter in this league. Playing basketball is what I was born to do, it's about time I started acting like it. This game really helped serve as a wake-up call for me, I don't want to go back to playing in the D-League. This is my chance to earn a roster spot.

      Coach's Call
Thoughts of head coach Scott Skiles
"Darius definitely showed promise on the offensive end out there tonight. As we anticipated, his defense is a work in progress but keeping up with those guys is no easy task for even the most seasoned professionals. We'll see how he responds on Wednesday against Danny Granger and the Indiana Pacers."

      Milestone Moments
      First NBA Shot

Legend's first career shot was a contested floater that would go on to miss with Dwyane Wade in his face

      First NBA Points

Darius Legend earned his first points in the first quarter, shooting over Dwyane Wade yet again

      First NBA Steal

The first swipe of Legend's young career came against Patrick Beverley at the end of the first quarter

      First NBA Rebound

Legend grabs his first career rebound in the second quarter of Monday's game

Very cool read. I was wondering about the teams you're showing. I don't have NBA 2k11, are those minor league teams included in the game or were they created? Thanks

Everyone following, if you could do me a quick favor and check this song out it would mean a lot to me. I realize probably 99% of you will hate this style of song lol, but every view counts. I did the beat and helped with the writing on this. I usually do more hip hop stuff but decided to give pop a try. Feel free to show a younger sister, cousin, etc though haha

Thanks in advance to everyone who bothers to give it a view.

They are all real teams that are a part of the NBA Developmental League. The rosters are all generated players though I believe.

The beat is the best part. Lyrics are lame but I'm really critical of most song's content (Tom Petty fan)

Yeah I'm with you, it's very formulaic and cliche. I prefer to make songs with a lasting message/good content but sometimes the catchy simple stuff is fun to make and there's a market for it so why not tap it lol.

Hoping to get game 2 up today. I'll be able to get updates up a lot more frequently once pujols gets this box score generator back up on the site, doing it manually is tedious...

Yeah, I really like your box score. I can't wait for him to get that back up. Looks nice.

Man, I was excited to get back to this now that the patch came out and Pujols was gonna add that box score template again so it was less work, but I just tried playing a game now and it was unplayable with the playcalling.

Is there an option to turn that off or at least tone it down? Half the time the PG just dribbles 5 feet from the arc for 20 seconds and I wind up just standing on a blue dot for no reason, I try setting a screen, etc.

If there's not then I won't be continuing this, game lost a lot of fun with that added. Contemplating doing a franchise though with a full team

Apparently the way to stop the play calling is by hitting LB or L1. I think that will break the play since someone will try setting a screen for you. That is what I heard anyway, haven't tried it since I kinda like the plays being in the game.
