    Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

Also, I'm shocked by how closely the game's results are mirroring real life:

*Auburn is undefeated #1 at 7-0
*Boise State is undefeated but getting little love at #5

Thanks to my realigned conferences, I'm also seeing Nebraska dominate the Big 10, and TCU own the Big East. But there are some surprises - Washington State (wth?) is atop the Pac-12 and Texas is owning the Big 12.

Could you post how you done your realignment? I am thinking about doing a new dynasty with the correct fixes in the conferences.

          Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

Just started my dynasty with UTEP. Crushed our FCS opponent 66-7 in week 1. Terrell Durbin ran for 396 yards and 7 TDs (both school records) but our QB Cedric Ham struggled (1 TD and 1 INT). Defense was dominate beside from one big run by their HB, but overall it was a great game.

Game 2 we faced off with #22 Houston. Early on Houston had a 4th and goal at the 1 inch yard line and our defense made the stop. Houston continued to move the ball well but didn't score until very late in the 1st quarter. 2nd quarter we gave up a big play TD so Houston was up 14-0. We go down and kick a field goal and then Houston fumbles around their own 20 yard line. Pass play puts us at the 2 yard line but then Cedric Ham throws a pick 6 and the game could not be salvaged. To add on to my pain my star HB Terrell Durbin is out for 7 weeks with a broken tailbone. The game ended Houston 35 UTEP 17.

Just got the game a few weeks ago and just started dynasty mode today. I'm really enjoying it.

Here is what I have (the conference name listed is the name of the in-game conference):

**ACC: Consists of the 12 real-life Big 10 teams in their "Leaders" and "Legends" divisions
**Big 12: Consists of the 12 real-life Pac-12 teams in their North and South divisions
**Big East: After some debate, replaced USF with TCU. USF is now in the Wasteland Athletic Conference (WAC)
**Big Ten: Consists of 11 ACC schools. Couldn't keep them all, so Duke was shunted to the wasteland as well (WAC).
**Independents: Moved BYU to independent and put Army in the WAC also.
**Mountain West: Consists of the new upcoming conference as best I could do it (added Hawaii, Fresno State, Nevada, and Boise State. Removed TCU, BYU, and Utah.) However, I had to remove one more team to make room, so New Mexico also got stuck in the WAC.
**Pac 10: Consists of the 10 real-life Big 12 teams, playing their nine-game round robin schedule
**WAC: Decided to rename this the Wasteland Athletic Conference because it's basically the dump for teams that don't have a home. USF should (hopefully) rule this conference for the near future.

C-USA, MAC, SEC, and Sun Belt were unaffected.

I made the changes this way because out of all of the major conferences, the ACC is one that I don't care for as much, so I didn't really worry about keeping it right. I considered switching the Big East for a 9 team conference, but I didn't want the Mountain West sans Utah and TCU getting an automatic bid in the BCS.

I used this chart to make sure I got them all right. Except for the ACC missing Duke, the Big East missing USF, and the WAC just really being a cluster***, I got everything else as accurate as possible.

You may think it's a little weird (at first) seeing the ACC logo with an Ohio State-Michigan matchup, but really once you get used to it you will automatically think "Oh it means Big 10." The only thing you lose is the traditional bowl matchups, and EA was pretty bad at programming those in, anyway.

              Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

In my second year with Arkansas State. Sitting at 6-1 right now, but having trouble recruiting (set on Heisman).

First year I went 9-4, including a New Orleans Bowl victory over UCF, 27-24. Signed a few JUCO Jr. recruits, and some other scrubs. The impact of these JUCO's is just crazy. My 6'7" receiver that I just brought in is having a quite a year, since I switched my playbook to SMU's.

I don't think I have ever had this much fun with a dynasty, mainly because this is the first time I have really used a set of tough sliders. Before this dynasty I would win every game no matter who I was playing or playing with.

                Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

Moving right along in my season with UTEP.

Game 3 against New Mexico St. I dominated and won 34-20 but the game wasn't nearly that close. My QB Cedric Ham throw 2 INTs including a pick 6.

Game 4 I had a great come-from-behind win over Memphis. Down 24-7 at halftime. Finally broke out of my offensive slump by scoring a TD late in the 3rd quarter. Game was tied at 24 late in the 4th and Memphis fumbled and I returned it for a TD. UTEP wins 31-24.

Games 5 and 6 were dissappointing loses to New Mexico and Rice. I was only down by 1 TD to New Mexico in the 3rd but Cedric Ham throw a pick 6 and we went on to lose 34-10. All my recruits showed up to the Rice game and I was hoping for an easy conference win, but got smashed instead. Rice won 41-17. Ham throw pick 6s in both games and probably has broken a record for most pick 6s in a season.

I had enough of the turnovers so I switched to Derek Tate at QB. He is a worse thrower than Ham (if that's possible) but a much better runner. Game 7 was against UAB and I dominated with back-up running back (starting RB is out) Brandon Alfred and short passes and runs by Tate. UTEP rolls 45-3!

Game 8 was against Tulane. Again I had a lot of recruits at the game because it was a winnable conference game. Alfred ran well early but got hurt so I was down to my 3rd string RB but had a 10-0 lead. The rest of the game was ugly but I hung on to win 16-7.

So I'm 5-3 (3-2) with my top HB returning to face Marshall next week. Then I got SMU, Arkansas, and Tulsa. Marshall will probably be my best chance to win. Hopefully Tate can lead my Minors to a bowl game!

I put recruiting on Freshmen because I don't want to spend too much time on it, but I'm having fun with it. I've gotten about 90% of the guys I target, which is mostly 3 star recruits. I only targeted pipeline players who had me in their top 10 to start.

I'm Using Montana Griz from the TB, I put them in C-USA and replaced Tulane. so far went through a "Tough" Season while trying to find a playbook good for the Griz. But the season I went 13-1 while trying to experiment with the playbook, my only loss was SMU at 42-38, as i couldn't establish a running game. other victories were vs the sec and the big east as i pulled out victory from the jaws of defeat as i Beat Ole Miss 21-17 and Rutgers 24-21, even though i couldn't stop their running backs as they had career days vs my Def. but still won the C-usa title as i had to beat S.Miss twice in order to do it. then beat UK in the Liberty Bowl, 31-17, at one point held a 24-17 lead til i clinched it with a min to go in the game. So still looking for the Playbook and get LSU to start off the 2011 season.

                      Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

My current SMU dynasty is just about the most fun I've had with an NCAA dynasty ever!

Right now going into Week 13, I'm sitting at 8-3 (7-0). I've already clinched the C-USA West title, so I will be playing in the title game. However, despite my 8-3 record, my point differential for the season is -1! Other than my big win over UAB, my seven other wins have come at an average of 5-6 points each, and my losses have all been by 24. I have two wins thanks to last-second field goals, and a 2OT win over Houston that was the game of the year (20 yard TD pass with 0:11 left to tie it up and then a goal line stand in the second overtime to seal the deal).

I only have one complaint - recruiting seems too easy. I love recruiting, it's one of my favorite parts of the game, and I have it on Heisman, but there's something about being in Texas that makes it too easy. Maybe it has to do with me being used to being Iowa State, a school in a state with little talent that has just awful grades on most pitches (thanks, EA). SMU has some decent pitch grades and its state has more talent.... maybe a little. I'm currently at the #39 class in the country (2nd in C-USA - UCF has the #37) and am basically just grabbing 3* guys at will... almost.

At the beginning of the season I had targeted a QB named Carter Stephens. I had eight 3* QBs interested in me, so I went through them all to look at their numbers and was shocked by his. The best THP and THA I found for any of them was C+ and he had C+ for both. However what made him stand out was his 6'5'', 239 frame, his B speed, and B- acceleration! I knew this would be the C-USA's Tim Tebow/Cam Newton if only I could bring him to Dallas.

The whole season he was #1 on my board getting the full 60 minute allotment. He visited SMU for the big Houston game and saw one of the greatest wins in Mustang history. But for some reason I was running neck-and-neck with Tulane all the way through. Finally one week, I came to my recruiting board to see the dreaded "Soft - Tulane" next to his name and freaked out. I made him three promises and just generally went crazy. That call was a +600 or so without a x2 multiplier. I thought I had a chance to take him away. I advanced the week.... came to the recruiting screen.... and there he was, an X next to his name and "Commit - Tulane" on the side. I wept inside...

Can't wait to see if he turns out to be what I hoped, but now with me playing them every season, it could get interesting!

Keep posting in here guys, I love to follow these, keep our love for NCAA alive!

                        Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

I am in the first year of my Syracuse Dynasty. I moved them and Nebraska to the Big Ten, replacing Indiana and Northwestern. So far through the season, I was 4-3 (1-2) going into my matchup at #5 Nebraska.

I had lost earlier in the season at Washington, at Minnesota and vs Michigan State, with wins over Akron, FCS East, Buffalo and at Purdue.

Going into the Nebraska game, I was down Shamarko Thomas (Starting SS), Ryan Nassib(Starting QB), Delone Carter (Best Player, and Starting RB), and Prince Tyson Gulley (3rd String RB.), so I pretty much expected to get blown out. I had been playing without Gulley and Carter for the last week, but Nassib was hurt in the 4th quarter of the loss against Mich St. That leaves me down to 1 HB and a 8th String WR as my running backs. I have 2 more HBs on the roster, but both are red-shirted and I didn't want to mess that up.

                        So.....we go to Nebraska.

The entire first half was a nightmare. Couldn't do anything offensively, and when I could, I would get stalled and either miss a FG or turn the ball over. Luckily, my defense was playing well, and I was able to keep the damage to 14-0 at halftime. After the half, I was able to get a 3 and out on defense, and followed that up with a nice drive, capped by a 22 yard TD pass to Alec Lemon. 14-7 Nebraska.

After a Martinez interception, I was able to get the ball down to the Nebraska 29, and since my kicker is so bad, and the wind was in my face, I decided to go for it on 4th and 6. I sent Lemon on a crossing route, and he got away from coverage for a 29 yard catch and run for the TD. 14-14.

3 plays later, after two nice completions, Burkhead breaks off a 39 yard TD run for Nebraska, and I am back down 14-21. Right before the end of the 3rd Quarter, Martinez tries to throw a quick out pass, and it is knocked down by Mikhail Marinovich at the line of scrimmage, and he is able to intercept the pass. I got stuffed on 3 straight plays, and settled for a FG. 17-21 Nebraska, end of the third.

Then...We go to the 4th Quarter.

Nebraska was stumped again, after a couple of penalties and a sack, they had to punt from their own 3 yard line. I sent the full blitz, and the punter kicks it out of bounds at their 27 yard line. Just a few plays later, I threw another TD to Van Chew, and Syracuse takes the lead, 24-21, with just under 6 mins to play.

The very next drive for Nebraska was the same story. Penalties and a sack led to a 3rd and 26 from their 3, when Chandler Jones came off the edge for a Safety, 26-21 Syracuse.

After the punt, I decided to switch to a conservative time clock, to chew time, and to try and squeak out the victory. I ordered up a simple HB dive on the first play, and they brought the house. I broke through the line with Antwon Bailey, and 58 yards later, it was 33-21 Syracuse.

From there, it was completely down hill. I blitzed on every play, knowing Martinez had to pass to win, and got two pick 6's off of errant throws to end the game.

Final score from Lincoln, Syracuse 47, #5 Nebraska 21.

A horrible, horrible 2nd half collapse, and it was one of the most fun games I have ever played. Plus I got an awesome picture after the Safety, that really put the game away, and the ensuing TD run by Antwon Bailey.

                        Next up is Penn State!

Fun way of doing a new dynasty & to roll the dice

<!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Ok, first all of this is coming off http://www.prodeportes.com/bb/randteam/index.php page. Where it pick your team for you. I have picked my new dynasty team with it and my new playbook. It really have shook things up. For some this may be a long boring process but, I may say it has came with some wild team/playbook combos.

First with your new team. It has to be set as very low for the Prestige: If you want to go with a better team then go for it!

What I do is click or refresh the page 10 times. On the tenth team/time, that is your new team.

As for your playbook. You do the same thing but, you get 10 playbooks. meaning doing the same thing as for your new team but, you get 10 different playbooks. Then here is the kicker. Go to a page that pick random numbers from one to ten. then when the number get picked mark that playbook off your list until. you get to one playbook. P.S. If you get a random number of like 5 and already have 5 marked off and 4 isn't go ahead and mark it off. I go by the rule the one that is above the numbered that is already marked out is the closed one.

As for your defense playbook. That is totally up to you!

Have fun with your new team and your new Offense Cord. "playbook"!

                          John

P.S. If you get tired of your new playbook after a year or two. To spice things up go though the same process for picking playbook like I typed out above!

Tell me all what you think! If you got any other ideas, please share!!!

What I got through rolling the "dice" was Team: Buffalo, Playbook: TCU

Entering Conference Championship week 2010, here is how my dynasty sits (I'm using my conference realignments, so the conference names I list here are what they would be IRL):

Big 10: 11-1 Nebraska vs. 11-1 Ohio State
                            Big 12: 12-0 Texas
                            Pac 12: 11-1 Utah vs. 11-1 Oregon
SEC: 10-2 Tennessee vs. 11-1 Auburn
ACC: 12-0 Virginia Tech (no championship game as they are in the game's Big 10)
                            Big East: 10-2 TCU

My 9-3 (!!) SMU Mustangs are taking on the 6-6 ECU Pirates in the C-USA title game. I like how C-USA lets the better team play at home in the title game. In the last game of the regular season, I went to ECU and beat up on them 34-6 in a good, old-fashioned *** whooping. This game shouldn't be close! Liberty Bowl, here we come! (knock on wood)

Also, Terrelle Pryor is leading the Heisman race. Jarrett Boykin from VaTech, Mark Ingram from Bama, Garrett Gilbert from Texas, and Cam Newton from Auburn round out the top five.

I just wrapped up the 2020 season in my Indiana dynasty. Finished #12 in the nation with a 10-3 record. I beat Alabama 34-31 in the Capitol One Bowl. This was a good year but a step back from last year. In 2019 I had a 11-2 record and won my first BigTen title as well as my first BCS Bowl. I beat Cal in the Rose Bowl.

Ohio State beat Cincinnati 35-7 in the BCS Title Game.

Beat LSU on a Last second FG as my Defense stepped up to the challenge. started off with the Griz getting a 51 yrd td run for a 7-0 lead. Then Ford of Lsu took it up the middle and scored from 76 yrds out and a 7-7 game. Then like most of the game i play behind. Lsu scored again a 14-7 lead. Then i lead a 4.5 min drive to score to tie the game and a 14-14 game as Lsu sent the blitz and i threw it to my 3rd wr for the tie. Then Lsu goes down again with ease from jefferson and he throws a td to the back of the end zone and a 21-14 lead. then the Griz drive it for a TD with the Wildcat and a 21-21 game. Then in the 4th Lsu drives it down thanks to a long pass to the 5 yrd line, then Jefferson finds his fb for a 28-21 game. Then the Griz get a drive going and try a 47 yrd fg and barely missed it. then Lsu tried to pass and got pressure and the Griz Int'd it and Mojo for the Griz. Then the Griz qb found his rb and soon as he was hit he fumbled it and lsu recovered with 2:00 left in the game. then Lsu fumbled the ball and the Griz had very good field position. Then the griz took advantage as they drove it down and on 4th and G from the 2 yrd line and the Fb took it in for the tying td and a 28-28 game. Then on 3rd down Jefferson was Sacked and was knocked out of the game and then the Griz sent the heat on the punt and a bad kick sent it to the 40 yrd line of the Tigers. Then the Griz got a major run from their rb and he took it to the 20 yrd line, then got it to the 10 yrd line on a slant pass and then with 3 sec's left. Griz kicked the fg for the w. 31-28 Griz. Montana gets one more SEC team in Au towards the end of the season.
