    Very true.
What makes a realistic boxing game is giving the user the ability to implement strategy in breaking down an opponent. That shouldn't make a difference whether you're using analog controls or buttons.

The only real difference between the two last year was that you could spam faster with buttons as opposed to the sticks. But make no mistake about it, you could fight very unrealistically with both configurations.

In the build we played Stamina played such a huge role, strategy was HUGE

Until the 13 year olds start crying online that they can't recreate the Rocky Movies with 150 punches per round and 32 knockdowns. EA with be sure to fix that stamina "problem".

Most of us saw a average of 50 to 70 punches. That was even if you tried spamming. The punch output was very nice to see. Will it be that way in retail????? I sure the hell hope so

I don't think that's going to happen; although, these players will find a way to exploit the game. Look at EA MMA, a game that does stamina pretty good, and you will see them exploiting other areas. I'm sure it's pretty tough for developers to leave a game without some type of exploit open. It's going to happen and I have decided to understand that it will.

Only thing I am worried about with the buttons vs sticks debate is the reaction time

In EA MMA button users could pull off faster punches than a stick user

True. Buttons and sticks are entirely different as far as reaction time goes in MMA. Maybe it'll be more even in Champion because the movement is more direct.

What the new control scheme allows is an easier more comfortable way to use both sticks at the same time. Meaning you can use your footwork and throw at the same time in a smoother manner.

Unfortunately for us the footwork suckssss~!
