How bad are rosters down the line in Dynasty?

Was this fixed by a patch/tuner? I ask because I'm in my second season of a Dynasty and many CPU schools I have looked at have three or four freshmen QBs on their roster.

If I get to 2016 and beyond, will rosters be all out of whack? This is a new dynasty with the most recent patches/tuners.

My friends and I are in the 6th season of our dynasty and I don't really see many problems with rosters. At least not like people were complaining about before the last few tuners.

Some things I've noticed is that there are no white running backs that are generated, a lot of option teams will have slow QB's and quickly will tank to being terrible teams, but spread option teams do decent without dual threat QBs, and any team under 3 prestige will have really bad K/P.

Wow I wish I had the time/dedication to play that many seasons. Every year I tell myself that I'm gonna play 10 seasons each in madden and NCAA, and I usually only end up playing 3 between the two

I did a 21 year Jags dynasty in Madden 10.
3 Super Bowls, 5 AFC Championships, 4 HOFers, I had a MLB (Ben Gray I think) retire with somewhere near 1300 Tackles, 40 Sacks, 30 FF and 15 FR and 20 INTS after 15 years.

They are not as high as the original roster file is but there are some really good players out there. You really have to recruit players this year. You can't just sign all 5* or 4* players and get the best players. The kickers and punters are really bad so I create 15 kickers and 15 punter each year so at least there are 30 good ones.

A few issues you will see is cpu controlled schools will have way to many players at one position. I have seen schools with 7-8 QB's. Also Like someone said the triple option schools end up with very slow QB's. I change there play book to a spread. It works better.
Relax, it's just a video game!

Play every game except for FCS.
With 8 Min QTR's, I probably play half a season a day, but my games go by fast do to conservative play-calling and gameplan.

Just went though the rosters and saw Oklahoma State with 9 QBs ranging from 66-57 OVR and UNC with 10 ranging from 77 to 55 OVR.

But the one thing that gets me is the top recruit hoarding by teams like Alabama, Notre Dame, Texas, and Penn State.
I'm talking about when they get multiple 4-5 star players at the same position every year, year after year so that even their backups could win National Championships.
Alabama has 5 80+ OVR QB's(2 90+), the lowest Texas QB(out of 5 on roster) is 87 OVR.

They are fine with patch and tuners. THere are less B+ and A- teams, and more B,B-,C+,C rated teams. So overall the quality is worse, but it's even for all teams

The other annoying issue years into dynasty mode is the lack of quality kickers. I try to look the other way when a team has 12 QBs and six linemen but when #1 Alabama has a kicker who misses every extra point it gets old fast.

Forgot to mention Alabama has a 42 OVR walkon FB lol.

Re: How bad are rosters down the line in Dynasty?

I'm in year 6 and I have not noticed any MAJOR roster issues. The most common small issue I run into is team's that have kickers rated in the 40s or 50s and even that is not as prevelant as people were saying. I'll run into a team like this once every 4 or 5 games.

If a kicker is rated over 60, it usually isn't a big deal.

If he is 59 or under though, I do one of two things. My first option is to look at their roster and see if they have a high rated punter. If so, I create a coach and fix their depth chart so that the punter is in at kicker. Probably 75% of the time, a team has either a good punter and bad kicker, vice versa, or both a good punter and good kicker.

If no good punter is an option, I just bump up the CPU kicker accuracy slider to 75 for the upcoming game and fix it back to 50 afterwards.

For those that hate the kickers/punters try creating some. We have a 30 player max each season. I have never been one for creating players but when the kicking game sucks you have to. It takes me about 25 minutes but it helps out. I make 15 kickers and 15 punters. The only issue I'm seeing with this is teams signing 2 kickers in the same class.

This is why we need in dynasty edits so we the gamers can fix what EA has missed. They wanted to make the kicking game harder so they just kill all together. This game could be so good if we could fully edit players inside dynasty mode.
