    Week 17: Cowboys @ Eagles

We let Joe Webb beat us, why not Stephen McGee?

dude did his thang. I think he's their qb of the future. You guys ever notice how it seems like Vick is the only eagle hurt at the end of their games? I'd hate to be him. I think the game plan is to concuss Vick every week.

Gotta rest Vick. He's been getting absolutely manhandled. Save any new gameplanning you have for him (like, say, quick drops and get it out of his hands) for your playoff game. Maybe a few series in this one but nothing more, please.

And run the damn ball!!! I think the Eagles could be a very successful ground team but they don't keep with it. Let Harrison get a lot of carries this week and keep McCoy healthy for GB/NYG. And use him A LOT in that game. He's getting the same treatment Westbrook got when he first was in Philly. He's electric almost every time he touches the ball, but they haven't focused their offense enough on him for some reason yet. Maybe he'll be fresher for what is hopefully a playoff run, but man, the dude has some of the best open field moves I've seen.

Beating the Iggles would be nice and all, but at this point for the Cowboys I'm not sure how much it really matters. I think Jones' mind is already made up re: Garrett, whichever way he's leaning.

I am curious to see how Stephen McGee can do with a full week's worth of reps with the ones, though.

It would be both stupid and counterproductive for the Cowboys to win this game. The only thing that matters at this point is getting the best possible draft position.

The Eagles HAVE to play Kolb. No reason to let Vick take anymore shots in a game that doesn't matter for either team. That said, go Cowboys I really don't mind if they win the game because I don't expect Jerry to fight to get Prince Amakumara or Patrick Peterson like I want him to in the draft

Kolb is starting. Trade bait obviously in the off-season.

I won't go as far as to say "throw the game" (and I'll never go that far), but I would like to see a healthy number of people who don't normally get playing time play. I want to know who on this roster is capable of being part of the turnaround of this team's fortunes and who should be on the outgoing end of the roster turnover.

Agreed 100%. The Boys should treat this week as if it was next season's first exhibition game.

This might be Roy Williams' last game as a Cowboy, I'll miss him.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams was a productive player for the first month of the season, but he's faded since his old pal from Detroit, Jon Kitna, took over as the starting quarterback.

                        *sigh*

I think the feelings of Cowboys fans towards RW can best be summed up by the words of Oliver Cromwell to Parliament:

"You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately ... Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!"

Re: Week 17: Cowboys @ Eagles

Over the summer, Cowboys receiver Roy Williams compared himself to Jerry Rice. Now he’s comparing himself to Michael Jordan.

Williams said he finds it “disappointing” that he isn’t getting many passes thrown his way, and said, “I have no idea” why that’s the case. And then he made the comparison.

“I just try to play the game,” Williams said. “I just think if Michael Jordan is hot you keep feeding him the ball.”

Fortunately for Williams, after Sunday he probably won’t have to worry about why the Cowboys aren’t getting him the ball.
                          I'll really miss you Roy

i dont care if williams stays or goes...as long as whoever is running the routes can CATCH THE BALL!!!

so many INTs this year on balls that should have been caught...so many drops...(yeah, Miles, lookin' at you!)

Very true, lots of drops this year... And for coaching, i'm not sure which way they are moving but they need a serious reboot this off season.
