I wanted to play this game for a while, but it came out at a horrible time. It was the same week as NCAA 2004 and once I get that it's non-stop sports games until at least January....I plan on getting this sometime next year, hopefully the price will be down a little by then, but i'm definitely looking forward to playing it

I went with NCAA 2004 as well (still playing it) and I'm waiting for KOTOR at XMAS. I did see it was $34.99 at best buy last week, so the price is starting to drop.

Well talk about a blast from the past but I didnt want to clog up the Steam thread anymore. For thos of you who go the Steam Version here ya go:

For those of you who wanted to know some mods, here are the ones Im running with for KOTOR:

New Sounds - Basically adds new audio to the fights

Jedi from the start - Very cool mod that allows you to start as a Jedi in training rather then some normal person. They also change the begining up by adding some new dialogue and a new char plus make it more challenging to go along with your upgrade but not to hard to where you will get frustrated. They also take out the tutorials for ya as well.

K1 Force Pack - Adds a variety of new force powers for you to use. I think 11 in total.

Weapons of the old Republic - Adds 12 new weapons scattered across the galaxy.

Revans Mask - Adds quest and revans mask and Cape to game for you to find.

Dialogue Pack - Characters say much more this time around

Lightsaber Choices - Changes the game to where when ya first get ya lightsaber you can choose between all the ones you want. Ex: Double Blade, Single, etc.

Juhani Romance - Allows for the player (Male or Female) to romance Juhani.

Chain Lightning - Makes one of the lightning force powers change to give it an more distinct look and effect.

Male Heads - Adds more heads for you to select while creating your character. Darth Maul is even one of them. (If playing as an female I suggest getting the female head pack)

Restoration of Shadowlands - Basically this mod adds the code back into the game of an area cut from the game. Enjoy.

K1 Movie Style Hilts - Tired of the same dull hilts the game gives you, well look no farther. This mod allows you to use some of your favorite Movie characters hilts like Vader, Yoda, Darth Maul, etc.

Brotherhood of Shadow + Expansion - This is probably the biggest Mod released for the game. It adds 4-6 new missions plus fully voice cutscenes and dialogue. Be sure to add the patch as well.

There are some other good ones out there but be sure to read the read me on them. Alot of the Mods are incompatible with each other and run a risk of crashing your game if your not careful. Some of them even require you to download 7 Zip to be able to unzip the files.

Some mods also do not go into the overide folder or go into multiple locations.

In order to get to the folder to put mods in go to: Documents > C: Drive > Program Files > Steam > Steamapps > common > swkotor > Override.

In practice however, Steam has generally allowed us to discuss the mod openly on their forums and there are other precedents where they've allowed (or knowingly overlooked) the use of alternate executables for modding purposes.

Still have my old XBOX....and I still pop in KOTR I and II from time to time.

**** classic games. And I love Star Wars so that helps.
