Agreed. I also think that games like Raiders vs Chargers should have more flags for unnecessary roughness, late hits, etc.

absolutely I love how NBA2K gives you sliders for various game audio. I'd love to play a game with no announcers and just players talking smack. Actually that's always been a pipe dream of mine for real games too. Get rid of announcers or at least the color guys and just let me hear the players talking trash!

He's right, the NFL wouldn't allow that into Madden because it would project a negative image. Why do you think none of the players in the game have tattoos.

they have tats in ps2 maddens.wrong or right? I hear you guys but how could this project a negative image? It happens,they allow it to be shown on TV.All the scuffles and trash talk.Its not like im asking for an Andre Johnson and Cortland Finnegan round 2 LOL. (now thats a negative image)

One time i lined up as slot WR and I had blocked this kid all the way out of bounds,he shoved me and I pushed him back then we had an exchange of words (both got flags) after the game everyone lined up and shook hands then the same kid pushed me in a joking way and we laughed although my team lost.

Another time was when I was doing kick return, I shoulder blocked this kid and we both went flying then we got up and he said "good sh!t man!" (That means good job) in a shocked voice and I tapped his helmet both showing respect.

Also, to all the people saying what the NFL want allow, I think this is just another case of people swallowing EA's excuses about what they can and can't do. I am not saying that the NFL doesn't want to maintain a certain image but I am saying just because EA lumps stuff like this in that pile, does NOT make it true.

I honestly would like to see the press release or whatever where the NFL said they didn't want tats in Madden but players are allowed to have them in the real NFL. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that is just another case of EA exploiting this repeated claim as an excuse to not have to bother adding them in.

Good topic, but I have to ask do you folks do any research before posting threads like this? Makes me think that some of you guys aren't really playing the game, just ranting about things.

This one is similar to the fatigue thread that popped up here recently. Fatigue is in the game, it has an effect, AND it is visually represented already. Why was there a post asking about fatigue implementation?

As far as player chatter. That is ALSO already in the game, BUT (here's the kicker) for some odd reason it has been virtually stripped down to nothing.

It is there though. "We are not going to win, if we dont make a play!" is one of my favorites. The audio kicks in at odd moments though. Madden 08 had it perfect, I dont know what happened since then.

In 08, while the offense was lining up the defense would talk mad ****. You all mean to tell me you dont remember "Run run fast as you can, but you cant escape from the gingerbread man" or "You aint gettin nothin" (while the linebacker was pointing at the RB).

Thread title should have read "Bring player chatter back". Like I said though, its there but the audio kicks in after the play, there doesn't seem to be as many phrases, and it doesn't kick in pre play like it used to.

Reference my previous post where I suggested the thread should read "bring player chatter back", I was incorrect. Thread should read, "Turn player chatter volume back UP" lol.

I just ran a test. Turned down everything except on field effects. The player chatter from Madden 08 is still there in all of its wondrous glory, but its turned down EXTREMELY low. Its a couple of volumes lower than the QBs cadence actually.

Why they turned it down. Who knows. Here's a couple of phrases I just heard

1. "Yea, we see that screen coming".
2. Something to the effect of "I near, I near"
3. "Get ya hands up in the front"
4. "Stay in ya lanes baby, stay in ya lanes"
5. "I aint nasty, nope I aint nasty"

There were many others but it was very difficult to make it out.

True. I want the chatter to be realistic instead of being at random times and sometimes what they say is SOOO off topic lol. Like even if we make audibles on defense we should hear the MLB "saying watch the run!" and the OLB saying "I got you,I got you!" . Then if you shift your line say "Strong left!" vice versa.You may not notice but alot of talking goes on play by play.

Would sound nice and all. But right now Ian and company still have alot issues with presentation and stuff like that. I wheather they work on fixing that stuff before worrying about adding more stuff to make things more confusing and then mess the whole thing up. But good idea for future maddens once other things get fixed and done right.
