Offline Franchise Simmed and...

I made it play out exactly as the nfl season unfolded and the giants made the playoffs instead of the packers!!! wasnt going to sit through it twice simming the season again but real life/virtual world as followed below now i had the same record as mentioned for both but madden gave the playoff spot to NY---not hating lol ny fans just confused as to why madden did it different from the nfl?? same records except the packers poor road record but it was identical to the results on madden only thing i could think of is the record away being the tie breaker but if they are using the same scenarios for tie breakers then why didnt the nfl give ny the tie breaker with the 5-3 road record over green bays 3-5 mark??? interesting lol.....anyone do the same thing and come out the same way?

I finished mine today and got the same result. Giants vs Eagles in the Divisional playoffs.

Yet another complete F*** up by Tiburon.

Add this to the draft order tiebreakers not being done correctly and I wonder if anyone there even takes the time to read the NFL rules.

the tie breaker irl was
Strength of victory (the combined won-lost-tied percentage of all the teams that a club has defeated)

so if all 256 games have the correct corresponding outcomes then its wrong but that was the 5th tie breaker.

All 256 correct. The game has the tiebreakers wrong.

I did the exact same thing... fortunately I had a franchise saved at week 16, I'll go back and then let the Skins beat the Giants and trade draft picks. If that somehow puts the Bucs in over the Packers, I'm gonna flip haha.

that would end up being the same tie breaker as before that we know isnt in the game so good luck

that really sux, im mean really sucks!!!

whats the point of having franchise mode if youre not gonna test it at the very least, and make sure simple details like this are accurate

im really thinking M11 was an unfinished product when they released it
love the gameplay, but theres alot of glitches and franchise being untouched and probably untested really sucks

so now im more than halfway thru my simmed season with very accurate stats and everything, and now im going to have to rig my season in an unrealistic way if i want realistic playoffs

ea has the exclusive NFL license and they just do what they want with it literally, cuz they can.....

That's too bad, I usually do the same thing. Last year I got the right playoff matchups but I remember other people complaining about Madden giving them different Wild Card games.

Do you guys just sim for the correct result or do you try and get realistic stats too?

I had the same exact results. Luckily i always save the previous week. I just made the redskins beat the giants. not sure how it changes the draft, but the results mirror the playoffs.

are we really complaining about a franchise mode that has an inaccurate 5th tie breaker, when there are much more glaring omissions like only having 10 draft picks, no compensational picks and only being able to trade the current years picks. not to mention the flawed trading system all together.

yeah we are...and you are correct this game has major flaws that the customer has to fix by way of someone doing some serious research and posting here on os. this is something simple we all thought ea would have covered its really just looking at nfl tie breaker rules and making sure they are represented in the game as well as how the draft actually works but obviously ea didnt research or look at anything its just a shame lol

im boned for my sim season i saved immediately after finishing the regular season and didnt notice the giants getting in until after the save and looking at the playoff schedule and seeing the screwed up game for philly..my only hope is that philly wins the game saturday that way i dont end up with a screwed up second round...it took me multiple sims to get to the end of the season lol ea needs to test theyre offline franchise to make sure everything is on the up and up or check with theyre programmers to make sure they aren't slacking
