Don't like how when your pitching from the pitchers view, the umpire bends over and is looking at the back of the catchers head. How can you tell a ball from a strike?

loved seeing the single back up the middle not get goalie blocked by the pitcher.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

3D glasses....but the look on Ramone's face while the guy was introducing the segment was priceless. For a second there, I thought Ramone was going to beat him down. LOLI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Game looks beautiful; really like the animations/full crowd animations in particular. Really seems to take advantage of the PS3. Not a big baseball fan and have always found The Show to be somewhat daunting, but thinking about picking it up depending on how accessible it isHBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Re: New CES 2011 video, with interview with Russell and Gameplay
One thing I really, really thought looked ugly was Nelson Cruz's hacks when he fouls them off. I can't recall if that animation was always in the game, but it really pokes its ugly head out from the behind-the-pitcher broadcast cam. I hope there's more variation, because I don't think many right-handers swing like that anyway.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Looks beautiful. Only reason I'm bringing this up is because it was on the video, but I really hope they toned down the amount of hits up the middle this year. Far too many in '10.
And I know these aren't final yet, but Lincecum's delivery needs a little tweaking.Comment

Re: New CES 2011 video, with interview with Russell and Gameplay
I didn't notice a graphical upgrade; are we getting better graphics this year or not? I mean textures of the jerseys for starters.
The only thing I liked were the crowd changes and dynamic weather (clouds, evening, rain).
If all they did was this, well, it doesn't feel like much was done. I'd love to know what will be graphically different.
As for the 3d, will it simply be like Toy Story 3 where it just gives depth perception (waste of time), or will it be like other movies that jump out at you? I'd rather be dodging stuff than be offered depth perception, to be frank.Comment

Re: New CES 2011 video, with interview with Russell and Gameplay
UncleMo, they might have done some subtle changes with jersey texturing, but you won't see a huge upgrade there this year (or maybe not ever if they want to maintain a solid framerate given this console generation's limits).
Player models have been built from the ground-up, however. So no more T-Rex arms, less boxy shoulders, and weight differentials are accounted for more appropriately (more of a gut for players instead of just stretching them out). I'm sure the lower half had an upgrade as well. Many more player faces are spot on, too.
Also, lighting has received an overhaul as well. You started to point it out a little bit with the weather, and that's just the beginning of it. Transitions seem to work seamlessly around the clock, and as we just saw there is also cloud coverage for night games.
As for the 3D, I think you and I just have different opinions on how we'd like to see it done. I'd like 3D for depth perception, more so as a gimmick than anything else but it will be a pretty looking gimmick. Maybe it will help out while batting, I'm really not sure. I don't really know what would be flying out at our face though, since the cameras aren't really set up for that (except maybe in Matrix-style replays? I don't know).Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
