C'mon Ceb, we get all of the extremes in Chicago. 85 is perfect weather in the summer, and we often get into the humid and 85-95 range.

The build up to each games are not. Everyone and their twice removed cousin has known that there would be a snow storm in Alabama this weekend.

A single ticket is worth a few hundred dollars. Students got their tickets at face value. Again, don't argue with me here because unlike you, I actually went to an SEC school while it was playing for a national title.

If you're denying that BCSCG game tickets are a few thousand dollars then you are wrong. If you can find me a ticket for "a few hundred dollars" I will give you $1,000 cash money for the link as I would still be able to turn a profit by a few hundred/thousand dollars. Getting a ticket at face value means absolutely nothing unless you want to argue that the initial investors in Microsoft/Google/Amazon/etc only value their shares in the company for the pennies they were worth at the time.

And Knoxville was supposed to get snow all day today and we got zilch. Weather forecasts change multiple times per day. Throw in the fact that Alabama meteorologists are horrible at predicting snow..

So glad this game is finally here. Should be a fun game to watch. Definitely see Oregon winning. So much more I could say but it would just feed into the already over the top SEC/Auburn elitism.

You were trying to say all tickets cost an absurd amount of cash when they didn't. Ticket brokers charged a ton, but only half at best bought them through a broker.

I'm sure quite a few people planned on flying out tonight or tomorrow and coming back Tuesday. I know most students will probably do it.

For last year's game, I flew out the day of the game.

Then I flew back right after it.

Here is what was said in the Rose Bowl thread.

I read that it had something to do with Disney not having to give local affiliates commercial time. Since ESPN is national Disney gets 100% of the commercial space.

I don't know if that's true but it certainly makes sense.
