Boggles my mind that 2K refuses to resurrect this franchise. Even if they decided to release it on a semi annual basis and basically re skin a previous version of NBA 2K, they would turn some type of profit. Look at the popularity of these mods, and even College Hoops 2K8 which is still running strong with updated rosters.

Hell, why not just include a separate disc with NBA2K and sell the package for $79.99. Then allow your My Player guy to start in college and work his way to the NBA.

There has to be a way to get another College Hoops game. Please 2K...what's it going to take?

Czar, I know there is data to back your point, but (and perhaps it's because I grew up in a town where college basketball was/is king -- Syracuse) I still believe there is a market for college hoops gaming in this day and age ...

What I've been thinking would be nice to see is similar to what EA did a couple of years ago; release a March Madness bracket on XBL/PSN. With the NCAA having switched to the "generic" courts as seen in this vid, the developers wouldn't have to spend much time replicating that aspect of the game. That brings us to teams. Instead of doing 300-plus teams, you'd only have to focus on 68. Use the player model base from your NBA game, tweak the ratings and obviously, change the rules to college.

I'm sure this is something that is much easier said than done but I do think that if you released this for $14.99 that it would do well.

Again, this is coming from someone that's grown up in a town that loves its college hoops, so my perspective may be a little different, but I think it's at least worth looking into.

unfortunately the masses spoke and didn't buy much of the game when it was around. What type of profit margin was necessary to continue, I don't know. but the people who actually went out and bought the game in comparison to the nba product year after year is obvious. I remember being in these forums while peeps complained about "unknown tech" not being in the game or "little school U" not having the fight song and refusing to buy it! lol. Asked the question then "would you rather NO College game....lol.

I read somewhere else that over 60 teams are made including arenas. Anyone know if this is true?

Yes. IIRC the arenas are not 100% accurate but they still look damn good.

Who says College Basketball isn't amazing?

If they made a Ch2k12, I bet you that everyone here would play it.

College Basketball is basketball in my opinion. Maybe not be everyone else's opinion, but most if not all NBA players are created from College, excluding the super athletes like LeBron.

I feel that College Hoops would actually make 2k lots of money.

Im tempted to buy this game for pc just for that purpose only. I loved NCAA 2010 and after playing 2K11 I couldn't go back to 2K8. Am I able to play a season or anything?

Can anyone tell me if they were able to put the benches at Vanderbilt on the baseline? If they did it would be legit!

we have 70 teams done, but right now the game doesn't like us editing more than 30 in one roster, so we have 2 rosters of 30 teams. the other 10 depend on if the roster editor person can help us out.

I'm working on getting association mode working, but its the NBA association mode, no matter what we do, we cannot match 2k8 off the court.

Is there anything can do to make it run a bit smoother?? My framerate looks really choppy or just not fluid. I have already tried closing everything else but that didn't help.

What kind of Video card do you have?

You would find this information in your system information in your system tools off the accessories in your start, all programs.
