I think the NFL would be making a horrible business decision if they stuck with the exclusive license. Madden sales decrease every year. With more than one football game they would make 2ce as much money at least.

If 2k approached the NFL, then I'm assuming they went in there with some ammo - a laid out plan and vision for the game to present to the league.....possibly even some type of playable demo or prototype build with a list of marketable features. And, obviously, they displayed NBA 2k11 as proof they know what they're doing. If thats the case then I really like the chances of nfl2k 12/13 becoming a reality.

I hope this happens with the college as well, they would make a toon of money.. with Ea agreement with the clc over last week, this would make a great chance to make a college game and prepare for the NFL 2012/13.

Polygon count count is a part of graphics and this is an area that Madden has in abundance. However, what they do with all those polygons, isn't all that impressive in my opinion.

The player models are just... not good lol.

Agreed No ea Graphics on any game but there own. LOOL. 2k is just as frustrating with the lack of ambition. no communication about some of there games with the fans.. Ea Beat them in that Dept. But I just wish they would see what fans want and that is a lisceced football game, we tried all pro with the legends, alot of people liked it, but I did not., and now they have a chance to make college liscenced products again, and right now they are not being pro active while ea does not have an exclusive agreement in place.

Yeah this would be a nice move showing what they have done for the NBA..assure them that the same people will be working on it. I really hope there is another NFL2k football and College basketball game. I would be in sports game heaven

when would an announcement be made for something like this? If it were 2k13 they could hypothetically make, then this coming summer would be the final exclusive Madden so we could assume an announcement would come shortly after that game is released right?

Idk, i was hoping id be hearing more rumors and stuff going into 2011 but theres nothing new going on with it.

Surely someone in marketing will realize that the NCAA agreement has expired. and 2k games can come in and make a move, but they move like a snail sometimes.

Seems 2K has too many developers and not enough politicians.

2k is not as interested in making a college game, because take 2 does not have the resources EA has to infiltrate both the NFL and NCAA market. The NFL market is clearly the largest, and offers the highest margin of return. The ideal situation would be for the NFL to open the license up to MULTIPLE companies. Many people buy both games. Whatever your stance on Madden, you cannot deny that EA will sell madden whether it's exclusive or not. Madden sales were great BEFORE the exclusive. For reasons we are all aware, the sales did not increase all that much considering they are the only NFL game. It's just not a good business decision. Mature buyers buy better products. EA has soured a lot of their customer base with shoddy madden products over the years. We have seen zero innovation in football gaming since 2006 and we actually went backwards in a lot of areas. Not having the exclusive may potentially help EA in some ways. Being pushed to make a better product will potentially drive sales up.

the nfl doesn't lose if they sell the exclusive. they sell that for a specified amount regardless of how many copies the developer sells. it is up to EA to make the most of their investment.

EA is one of a few major companies with zero debt every year. so they have pretty good bean counters there.

I think TAKE two does have the resources to make college and NFL football, they have alot of succesful titles as 2kgames, And would change their stratagy for the demand changes. If 2k would counter madden with college football, they would have alot of sales just givin the fact of another football title alone.2k should push this

well there is a huge rumor out that Activision is looking into acquiring Take Two. If that happens and they keep 2k Sports, then they will definitely have the resources to jump on the NFL license if it becomes available.
