There is no objective way to measure Help D. There is also the danger that a number too high will lead to aggressiveness and, in practice, weaken a team's defense (short of proper rotations).
I operated from the principle that the best defensive teams provide the most aggressive help, but also tried to counter that theory w/in the formula.

Then I applied the formula discussed earlier in this thread and curved each since 2006-2007.
Incidentally the Heat are above 90 in all but one. If that doesn't scare the NBA, I don't know what will.
Short answer to your original question: I don't know.
I wish there was a D AWR slider (I wonder if the Offense/Defense slider at the bottom would have this effect?).
