Teamates in My Player Mode Cant Shoot....any tips

I have two my player modes, both are on hall of fame mode...

I have a SF on the Knicks that i can get 30+ a night...but we lose because no else can make a jumpshot....

Im playing the Jordan my player mode on HOF for the Bulls...first couple games averaging 40+ but i lose to the Knicks because Noah cant get a rebound or make layup....Deng cant hit a jump shot and hits 1-13 from 3(did i mention im on 12 min quarters?)...D Ross refuses to shoot when wide open and doesnt hesitate to shoot with no room at all...

But the Knicks im playing against....Stodamire makes 30 (even after i double team him after 10 pts)....Felton hits 24 from i dont know where...

My problem is I played for the Knicks on HOF and Im having the same problem as i am in my Jordan MP mode....felton cant make a shot....stodamire doesnt make layups or turn around fade aways (like he did against me many times) and i some how still won the finals....

Tl;dr My teammates suck, what do?

I believe HOF is the key. It makes the cpu team better than yours. Since you arent in control of the other players on your team, you can't make up for the difficulty with your skills to play the game (like how you can still score with your my player)...so your teammates will just suck.

oh poo....that sucks...i put it one down for 2 games and its still the same...
if i put it pro (tried for 4 games) i put up 75+..

Are you playing on Default or simulation? I changed My Player from sim to Default and they're hitting shots much much better now. I mean it really saved the game mode for me.

im so used to like the word simulation on alot of games i never thought it would be hurting the game for me

Beleive me I know, but honestly default seems to play more Sim then Sim. Wait wha?....lol

I was having the same problem. No one on my team could hit shots. I figured out that it was mostly my fault. I was messing up the continuity of plays trying to get open for shots and calling for the ball etc... I play within the framework of a play the other guys shoot much better.

avoid hall of fame settings...and dont be too heavily reliant on jump shooters...

i really hate this year's version of 2k in terms of teammate AI for this mode...nba2k10 was pretty good in that regard...i miss the days where i could find bargnani for an easy 3 as he came off a screen

Its still bad...

Shaq just hit 2 15 ft jumpers and the celtics are shooting 65% while my bulls are shooting 30%

and apearently Rondo is Jesus...its so annoying

LOL rondo does sink his shots consistently in this mode...well against me he does...

i literally do sag off on the guy because i assume he would miss them

Once i finally came to terms with my teammates not making shots I reminded myself that I was playing as Jordan...so i said "Eff Everyone" and just started quick screens and shooting (much like Kobe in the playoffs)...hit 11-18 from 3 (one was a game tier to send to OT)...

Finished with 69pts 9reb 8ast 7blk 2stl

Just thought it was a cool story after being down by 20 the whole game...

Are you playing on Default or simulation? I changed My Player from sim to Default and they're hitting shots much much better now. I mean it really saved the game mode for me.

yeah, sim mode ruins outside shooting...on sim mode my teammates all shoot like 1-10 on three pointers. the only players that can make 3's on sim mode are the deadly shooters like Ray Allen...even very good shooters can't hit a 3 on sim mode.

default mode solves this problem, but more problems are created as it's too easy to score on default mode. defenders sag way off and there is much less body contact.

i just decided to stick with sim mode and not pass to my teammates on the perimeter anymore. i only pass to teammates in the paint now.

Hey guys I'm a newbie who's having a very similar problem in NBA 2K12 "MyPlayer" mode. I created a dude and patiently build him up to a 90(over 4 seasons). PG for the Lakers. This year(his 4th)he played out of his mind to the point where the weird CPU GM traded Kobe to the Bulls. Anyway,my problem is I cannot figure out how to get ANY of his teammates to play ANY defense at all in these playoffs. We're playing the Suns(this version has Brandon Jennings playing better than the Bucks one we know).Anytime any of them takes a three it's wide open and the dumb teammates never,ever make any adjustments at all.When I look at the two rosters,our team shouldn't even have a problem with these fake Suns we're way better...but on the court,even after 3 after 3 is busted...no one guards the perimeter...any suggestions(I've tried zone defense...it's the same)?

The only thing you can do is turn down the difficulty. 2K refuses to make the A.I. (particularly our teammates) intelligent and true to their real life forms. Just turn down the difficulty and your teammates' shot success will increase and the other team's will decrease. That's 2K's idea of a change in difficulty.
