Do you care if your favorite player has a correct batting stance ?

There is quite a debate about batting stances so I'm taking it to the polls

This poll question is meant to be a simple YES or NO question

YES = Mostly accurate batting stances are important to me
NO = I don't care AT ALL if the stances are accurate

Disclaimer- This poll is not intended to compare batting stances to gameplay or any other part of the game

    No

    The poll is expired.

Honestly, unless it's something DRASTIC, it really doesn't bother me too much. There are so many stances there is bound to be one that better fits the player.

Of course because I enjoy it in Real Life even better in a game

I really don't care as long as they are close that is all that matters to me. In fact I rather have the player look more like the real counter part (faces)then have their batting stance perfect.

It would have to be extremely wrong for me even to notice, especially when I am batting. All I have time to concentrate on is the pitcher at that point. It's hard enough to hit in this game . As long as it is somewhat close and the player model is accurate (face wise anyway) I'm good to go.

Sometimes they are DRASTIC and the process of finding a better one can take several hours depending on how many players you need to fix and then there's the process of elimination on all the candidates

They spent lots of time studying MLB video to get correct jumbotron animations..Why can't they put the same effort into fixing teams signature players actual batting stances ??

From the view I play on I notice batting stances more then anything else

Depends on how much you care for them. Me personally, having imitated Griffey Jr. in my backyard countless times growing up, made me cringe when I seen how off his stance was for the last 5 years. Some people just concentrate on different things when watching and so you'll always have this divide in answers to the question. I just can't stand(and it goes both ways) when someone tries to shoot don't the importance of it...Especially for a game that already plays well on the field. Nobody would give a damn if the game played like **** and they motion captured every player individually.

Honestly I wouldn't mind looking for another stance so much if they would just add a batters box graphic to show how each potential stance position actually looks at the plate !!!!!!!

Better yet.. add an option to let you DEMO how the batter will walk up and actually stand at the plate so you don't have to waste time always loading a game to test it out

I can't tell you how many times I thought I had the perfect batting stance until I loaded up a game and saw how they actually position their feet in the box

                      Spot on.

Some of them are just too awful to take, but for the most part, they are either close enough, or I can find one that is.

I can't say its very important to ME... it probably has to be very off for me to notice. With all the options, its not too hard to find a suitable match IMO.

FYI, you can rotate the player when previewing a stance.

#1 for me too and coming from

and before it's not a "must have if they are off a bit. In all seriousness, sure it's great to have it as close as possible, if the gameplay is lacking then it doesn't matter. Once the gameplay is on then the closer to realism the better but not a game killer if they are off.

Authenticity is the number one most important thing for me in sports games, so if I know the stance it very much matters to me.
