Oh....when you said ALWAYS....I though you meant always. Silly me.
Yes...David has indeed changed his stance...several times.

Re: MLB 11 The Show Video: Gameplay Footage From Community Event
When you say "way off" it gets us nowhere. If I were to post a Jason Bay video right now, nobody would agree with that. Exaggerated? Fine. If he came up to bat with no name and no face you and a number of mets fans(maybe not knight, ahem) would know its him.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Video: Gameplay Footage From Community Event
Jason Bay's Stance is quite off though. He doesn't wiggle the bat like a madman and he is open. So way off isn't exaggerated, its dead on. He bats nothing like he does in the show. Therefore, if he came up with no name and no face in the Show, I would have no clue who he was supposed to be.

I'm not trying to start any arguments here or anything, but as someone who watches the Mets every game, literally, I know what their stances look like.

I meant his stance is exaggerated(the bat wiggling) but in the end takes nothing away from being able to pick him out. He does have an open stance, but I wouldn't call him "way off".Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Video: Gameplay Footage From Community Event
IDK about that....... but It's not as bad as some player's stances. I could see Ike Davis' stance being way off but there are some similarities in Asdurbal Cabrera's in-game stance (which is the stance that looks like is assigned to davis) and Ike's real-life stance.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Video: Gameplay Footage From Community Event
From the videos I've seen so far, it looks like many players were simply assigned another player's stance, or their unchanged stance from years past. However, some players have been given new stances, and they all look great (except Aubrey Huff and Elvis Andrus). I would assume that the ones that were changed were because they no longer worked with the new player models. At least there won't be an over-population of Generic 1 since SCEA is assigning pretty much everyone a stance now-- either their own or another player's.MLB: Detroit Tigers

You can not go by the videos you have seen. They were still working on, adjusting and adding stances while we were there, after these videos were recorded, and well after we have left. From the videos I've seen so far, it looks like many players were simply assigned another player's stance, or their unchanged stance from years past. You will have to wait till the game is final in order to fully know.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Video: Gameplay Footage From Community Event
I have a lot more footage, but I've been extremely busy since I got back from the event. I hope to get some more edited, and hopefully approved this week sometime.
re:specific "I'm worried about x" posts from everyone here:
As the other guys have said more than a few times, please don't judge a lot of specifics on what you're seeing here. Even Miller Park has had some pretty big changes since I shot this footage. My intentions for getting it posted are more about showing the general changes in the game this year, especially the updated player models etc.
To placate you all a bit in the interim, I just posted a bunch of screenshots to our website. Some have already been seen in another thread here, but I posted a good number of new shots as well.

I didn't read through 10 pages of comments, but here's what I'm impressed with:
Whether a batted ball or (especially) a thrown ball, like from an outfielder to an infielder, the in-motion ball physics and 'sped-up' feel of the overall action. Hopefully this is not just a visual trick from the video, because it makes it look much better. Looks like the player animations, specifically the batters swinging, also are quicker--which makes it seem more lifelike. Now if they could just get the pitchers to throw more realistically (faster animation).Comment

Some of the CD guys said they work on the release point while they were there. So hopefully they got that part ironed out.I didn't read through 10 pages of comments, but here's what I'm impressed with:
