The Career of Floyd McKnight [MY PLAYER]

Out of a high school within Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Floyd McKnight, the young competitor went to Buffalo College near his home country in Canada to play Basketball. After just one year of playing for the College, Floyd announced in a press conference that he’d be taking his talents to the National Basketball Association this year (2010-11). Throughout his years in High School and College, he played point guard, shooting guard and small forward but when asked what position he’d be focusing on in the big league, he stated shooting guard but he also stated that he is ready to play any position because he knows he can do great things wherever and whenever he plays. McKnight comes in at nineteen years old with the number 21 simply based off his date of birth. The young shooting guard has earned a cult following in his Pre-NBA career, being known as Mister Incredible. However, we’ll see if he’s able to keep this name going through his professional career. The right handed shooting guard stands at six foot six and weighting in at two hundred and twenty seven pounds. McKnight is being billed as an athletic and slightly slashing player, when he was once asked about his style, he summed it up simply “What’s going in my mind during the game when I have the ball is drive, drive, and drive, if everyone’s on me inside that paint, pass it out, if no one’s open… well I’ll just dunk on the guy guarding me.” His high school coach once compared his playing style to that of sure-fire hall of famer, Dwayne Wade, of course, he has a long way to go before he can truly match the ability of the former Finals MVP.

(First and foremost, if you’re reading this, thank you for following. Originally, I played as a power forward through about fifty games, averaged 24 ppg and 14 rpg and had started averaging 10 apg as well, made the all stars first year, and had been in the MVP race, that game was really unrealistic and at the time I played on Default and Pro mode, so I decided to go with a Shooting Guard this time around and I’ll be playing with a All-Star on Default mode, thus, don’t expect me to be playing like Kobe Bryant right off the bat. Anyways, I’ll mainly be updating this throughout the weekend. Should it prove too easy once more, I’ll upgrade the difficulty and mode as I go.) Def. following. I have been considering starting a career like this. Looking forward to the updates. I agree with the uploads taking forever though. I uploaded about 10 snapshots of one of my games and it has yet to upload.

The young prospect from Buffalo visited several teams this year for the 2010-2011 NBA Draft. His first visit was within Los Angeles. The Lakers who were holding tryouts invited Floyd McKnight although there, the Lakers management had no intention of truly drafting the prospect. Of course that’s until he turned heads and truly showed why he decided to only spend one year in College and go to the National Basketball Association the next. He stunned the staff with 41 Points. Surprisingly, his offense was the worst part of his game, most likely due to his poor shooting percentage. Furthermore, he turned the ball over 7 times. He gave away 3 assists to top off his offense. Luckily, his free throw percentage despite the scouts believing it to be low, was at 77.8%. On the defensive side of things, he definitely showed signs of a great defender, stealing the ball away 6 times and blocking his match-up 4 times. To conclude his first match, he performed a devastating 18 rebounds. His stock value immediately rose from an undrafted prospect to the 11th Overall Pick to the New Orleans Hornets.

The Washington Wizards decided to give the shooting guard a shot with the team in a following tryout. He came out and once more turned heads. His offense still lacked throughout the game but definitely improved. His ball handling came to haunt him as he did 9 turnovers which really are disappointing the scouts. This time around, he only had 1 assist but his free throw percentage stayed high at 66.7%. One thing was for sure, despite his shooting percentage improve and him scoring an incredible 52 points, he could only score by driving, which he warned everyone about originally. His on-ball defense was great but it doesn’t show on the stats as he lacked any block and only had 1 steal. His rebounding lowered but was still incredible at 15 rebounds! Unfortunately this wasn’t impressive enough and his stock value lowered to the 16th Overall Pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In a third NBA tryout, he visited the Indiana Pacers who held the 10th Overall Pick which meant people were still looking at him to be their saving grace. This proved to be his best game out of the three. His offense definitely improved this time around. He only scored 36 points but don’t be disappointed because he shot less this game and gave more efficient shots, especially rising his field goal percentage to [b]50%. His free throw percentage grew as well to 80%. Finally his turnovers lowered this time as well, still high but definitely impressive at 5 turnovers. That’s not all, with all those possessions that he did not shoot, he passed with accumulating a total 11 assists. His defense returned as well, not as tremendous as the first game but better than the second with 4 steals and 2 blocks. His rebounding lowered but stayed in the double digit range at 12 rebounds. This gave him an incredible Triple Double along with making this the third time he had two stats at double digits. This made his stock rise once more, even higher than the first time at the 9th Overall Pick of the Utah Jazz.

You have to wonder if Floyd McKnight is hoping to be picked early or to be held up long enough to get to the 15th Overall Pick of the Toronto Raptors! Throughout the training camp, he’s also risen his overall from 38 to 40. There's only one question left to be asked, where the athletic shooting guard end up when the Draft is all said and done?

Definatly following this, sounds really good, and btw i think the Raptors have the 13th overall so even better chances!
