Regardless of difficulty level, you really have to work the count. You'll usually get more hittable pitches (i.e. belt high fastballs), with 2-0, 2-1 or 3-1 counts (or at least that's how it usually works for myself). You can't be afraid to take some pitches even if they're strikes. Nothing really new here, but I always realize if I start hacking at everything, the hitting usually suffers.
