Is it time to give the "view stats" a facelift?

I mean I love the presentation, but the baseball card style of seeing stats is getting pretty old, at least to me it is.

Isn't time for a change? I mean I been playing SCEA's MLB since MLB 06 on the PS2 and it's been the same since.

Hopefully this is one of the major things that gets changed for next year's game. Hopefully with even more stat presentation and more information on the player.

This has been discussed here, there will be no change at least for this year

I discussed it being a major look for next year in my original post. Read again.

Just in case, I'm in no way trying to bash the greatest sports game or devs ever. I'm just trying to give my opinion as this still is a discussion board.

I kinda thought there wasn't going to be a change cause heck when it comes to the stats there (NEVER) has been a change lol.

They tossed around some things already......
I think for '12 we'll see a change in the stats and tracking of stats.

Just saw that sorry, I totally agree with you though, I would like more detail, if a player gets traded mid season I would love to see stats for each team he was with etc... even recent awards won would be cool to add

How about hooking up with baseball-reference? An option?

High on my personal The Show Wish List is an overhaul of the statistics presentation. I don't mean the art or anything, but the statistics the game concerns itself with.

Emphasis on counting stats (HRs, RBI, etc.) are so seriously outdated at this point, it would be really nice to see the developers at least expand their attention to some basic "advanced" statistics (OBP, SLG, OPS, wOBA; K/BB, WHIP, FIP/xFIP).

Some of those are technically in the game if you look for them, but they are not easily reviewable by any stretch.

Ideally, the attribute system would be calculated based on some of these stats that give you a better understanding of individual performance. But at a minimum, it would be nice to see in-game overlays featuring triple-slash lines instead of just AVG HRs RBI.

I'm REALLY tired of the baseball card look. They should of left it like that back on the PS2 days. Make the presentation a bit more professional looking (at least from that aspect).

One thing I like about NBA 2K is that they have some of the more advanced stats like PER, EFF etc...considering how much of a stats game baseball is I'd like to see stats like WAR in the game.

Yuck! WAR is the absolute worst stat in baseball, imo of course. I would love to see OBP, OPS, oh yeah and SB would be nice. I am talking about the career part of the card.

Can I get an executive summary of your reasons for disliking WAR?

I think we can all agree that PEACE is better than WAR....and that WAR sucks.
This shouldn't even be an argument.
