Announcing wrong name

I recently repurchased NHL 11 because my other copy broke. So I deleted every bit of NHL 11 from my system (XBOX 360), even cleared the cache. However, upon setting up the game again, starting with my name and gear, I am finding that it is still announcing my name as Chris and not Daniel, which is what I put in the box. I figured that I messed up last time and learned to live with it, but, since this is a new game and new setup, I'm guessing that it is a problem (glitch) with the game? Can anyone help me on this? It is really getting frustrating hearing someone else's name being announced when your name is showing in the penalty or scoring sheet. Checking all the settings again, they are correct. Daniel as the first name, not Chris.

Have you checked the option where you get to choose your play-by-play name?

i had that problem too
hes saying : 'Goalie' Or 'He Shoots!' but not actual Play By Play Name o.o
and i noticed that on other play by play names o.o but not the NHL Players he says those fine

Maybe try changing ur name to Chris to see if he'll announce it is Daniel, same for the play by play name.
