    Tony Romo injured, status unkown.

    DALLAS, TX
--Tony Romo was injured the first pre-season game of the 2010 season tonight. The injury and his status is currently unknown, but we are expected to get more information in a press conference tomorrow afternoon.

Romo was sacked by Raiders DT Richard Seymour and landed awkwardly on his throwing shoulder, bending his elbow virtually inside-out. The Cowboys franchise quarterback seemed to have been knocked unconscious, but was seen talking to doctors before being carted off the field.

We'll keep you informed with the latest news as we get it.

      ESPN.com BREAKING NEWS:
      Romo's career over.

DALLAS, TX -- "It seems like a bad dream, I just want to wake up" said the image of the Dallas Cowboys, Tony Romo.

Cowboys fans across the globe are sure to have shared those same words.

Romo held a press conference inside Cowboys Stadium this afternoon, as he tried to hold back tears, shocking the NFL telling everyone his career came to a sudden end this past Sunday.

"I broke nearly every bone in my throwing arm, it was the hardest hit I've ever taken" Romo said. "I have no ill feeling towards Richard Seymour, he was out there doing his job, getting the quarterback to the ground. He's a hell of a player."

"I'd like to thank coach Phillips, Jerry, everyone I've played with through high school til now, and especially the greatest fans in the world - the Dallas Cowboys fans."

Where does one of the most recognizable franchises in sports history go from here?

"It's gonna be a tough time these next few weeks, months, maybe even years. You can't just replace a player like Tony. He's one of the best quarterbacks in Cowboys history, he led us to the playoffs numerous times. We didn't get our hardware, but we can't thank Tony enough for lifting us up off the ground. We'd love for Tony to stay with the franchise in some capacity, whatever that may be. Thank you".

Those were the final words of the rather emotional press conference, coming from the mouth of the owner of the Cowboys; Jerry Jones.

McCoy stays in Texas - Traded to Cowboys

DALLAS, TX -- Breaking news out of Dallas? Nothing new the past few weeks.

Barely a week after losing franchise QB Tony Romo, the Cowboys got right to work and traded for Texas football legend Colt McCoy - which is sure to please a lot of fans in Texas.

The Cowboys traded WR Roy Williams, a second and third round pick from the 2011 draft.

Coach Wade Phillips said that Colt will be competing with current starter Jon Kitna and another Texas QB; Stephen McGee for the next 3 weeks for the starting job in the regular season opener.

The good news? We have a Texas college football living legend as our starting quarterback. Colt McCoy seems to have lifted the spirits of the Cowboys franchise and fans everywhere with his passion and play.

We also get the Super Bowl this year. See you then.

            ESPN.com BREAKING NEWS:
Brady out for entire 2010 season

BOSTON, MASS. -- It can't be happening again.

New England Patriots quarterback and the face of Boston sports is down and out again. Brady fractured his elbow in the final pre-season game and told reporters today he will miss the rest of the season.

Everyone remembers the 2008 season when Brady went down in the first game of the regular season, in stepped backup Matt Cassel, who didn't start any college games. Cassel went on to lead the Patriots to an 11-5 record just barely missing the playoffs.

Who's up next? recently acquired Matt Leinart. Is this Leinart's chance to shine? Patriots fans sure hope so.

It was a coming out game for Colt McCoy.. seeing as how it was his first NFL regular season contest.. and he was the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.

Colt completed 55% of his passes, throwing for 221 yards and two touchdowns. He lead the team down in the final five minutes to score the game winner, to Sam Hurd. Jason Witten played a big game, catches 8 balls for 117 yards.

It was the run game and defense that got it done, however. The Cowboys out-ran the Redskins 202 yards to just 56. They also out-gained Washington in total 455 to a measly 147 yards. Redskins coach Mike Shannahan was furious.

"How can we expect to get anything done when we can't even get 150 total yards? .. TOTAL!" Shannahan said.

"The defense and the o-line got it done today. I went out, and called the plays I was given and we got what we could on offense. I threw two awful interceptions, I had no business throwing that way. When our defense can limit them to around 120 yards on offense, we can get what we need on our side of the ball. It was a team effort" McCoy said in the locker room.

In what was one of the most memorable Dallas home openers in history, on the very first play from scrimmage Colt McCoy hit Felix Jones in the backfield, who then made his way 72 yards the other way into Bears territory, setting up the first TD of the game.

On the next kickoff Devin Hester got rocked and backup TE John Phillips ran the fumble in, putting the 'Boys up 14-0 with less than 2:00 gone in the game.

Dez Bryant showed why Jerry got him in the first round, catching 6 passes for 147 yards and 2 TDs including a long 55 yard catch and run.

The run game was in-existent for both teams. The Bears defense was like it always is, and Felix Jones didn't event get over 1.5 ypc. But on the day the run game got shut-down, the passing game picked up as Colt threw for 372 yards including 3 TDs and one INT.

DeMarcus Ware was mentioned for the first time this season, getting 4 tackles, 2 sacks and knocking down 3 passes.

It's looking good for the 2010 Cowboys just when we all thought Dallas was done for with Romo retired. Cowboys fans can breathe a sigh of relief.. for now.
