That seems to be what is happening now. I do have some fights where I walk away wishing we could go more because we are both conserving and using various strategies, but when I face a guy who is throwing one punch after another, I'm going to sway, move out of the way and then counter.

I even circle the ring a lot, both on and off line. I fought a guy today who beat me in the first fight and we happened to meet up again. I was able to make adjustments to his style and I beat him the second fight. He sent me a message that I was the most boring fighter ever. I know the game isn't perfect, but what makes it more flawed is the style these guys choose to fight. What this demo does right is make users pay for fighting like it's not a sport.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Neither am I, after all brawling is a realistic strategy anyway and there are certain boxers who love to up the tempo and let it wing. I just want to see it done in a realistic manner, ie not every fighter should be capable of fighting at a relentless pace. Otherwise you have a situation like most other sports games where you're going against cheesers all the time and that's not fun whether we're capable of beating them or not. Also, it remains to be seen how things will play out in the full version. If you don't score a KO against these guys then the adv could be in their favor. Once these guys get good at the game they'll figure out how to let loose while not getting KO'd. With that said I'm also keeping in mind that the demo is likely on some sort of arcade setting.

thats fine and all but my problem is that the AI doesn't fight like the guys do in real life. I never play online so i can care less about online. So if guys wanna slug it out online good for them i dont care because i'm 100% offline in all of my games except Call of Duty and the occasional NCAA 11 game. I want the guys to fight like their real life counterparts offline. So if i'm fighting Pacquiao i want him to be aggressive and throw a lot of combos and leave himself open to being hit. I know Mayweather isn't in the game but for arguements sake if i fight Mayweather i want him to be a counter puncher who uses his speed and defense to hit without being hit. If i fight Tyson i want him to throw a lot of power shots, work the body, fight inside and look to overpower you. I want Ali to use his jab, move around the ring, sit on the ropes at times. If i'm fighting a heavyweight i want them to throw a big punch or 2 and look to do a lot of holding because thats how a lot of heavyweights fight.

The game doesnt do a good enough job of replicating what these boxers do in real life. So when you play offline this game gets old way too fast.

This is the problem I see in many of this gen's games. the fact that games have to be tuned for the online and offline user. I want to play online, but I still want it to be as sim as my offline experience. otherwise, I just won't play online. But because of the tuning/setups for the online gamers (head to head) the games have to be made with that compromise. I agree with what you are saying, but then I also see why it's hard to make the game fit my profile. aargh!

The scoring is messed up online because draws are not possible online. If one player wins a round 10-8, then the judges will not allow that players opponent to win the other two rounds. The developers need to implement online draws.

Yeah, I know. In this case I won the other two rounds , so there was no "non-draw" logic at play. I've seen this horrendous scoring in bouts where draws were not a factor.

I still don't understand why they made this decision. What's the downside to allowing draws online? It doesn't make sense.

I love the new tuner set feels much more natural, jabs are better to throw. To the people who say the jab gets them countered, learn when to throw a jab ... jabs are to lead into not to mix it up.

I KNOW it's possible to throw a ton of punches in this game but during a whole 3 round fight I never get over about 80 punches (many are jabs now) now.. I fight as a jabber/counter puncher until I get the guy weaker and slower.. and then get more aggressive.

The judging seems better maybe because I can use the jab MUCH easier now? Before I felt I won matches and got robbed because I landed the harder cleaner shots... but you can land 2 to 1 in power shots but if a guy peppers you with a jab for 3 rounds ... I give it to the jabber who jabs and counters than a person who just throws like a nut.

I think we need to remember this is ONLY 3 rounds, the people who are trying to throw as many punches as possible... won't last 5-6 rounds in this game when it goes retail. The people fighting it as if it were a 10-12 round fight will enjoy this much more.

Can't blame people though odd decision to do 3 rounds... it tends to make people think arcade but in reality it's NOT just there is only 3 rounds and no repercussions because well there's only 3 rounds! Just fire away ... !!!

I played last night and had great matches... but one guy somehow had a way to cheese to the body ... there was NO way to block it... don't know what that was but he was the only one who did that EA may want to look into that.

My nephew said there was another tuner pack available (not sure since I wasn't there for the second one) he told me it asked him to press Y and there was a new tuner pack anyone can confirm there was a SECOND tuner pack released?

they need to change no draws in online especially with the boxing gyms. it just add another layer to the game. you can have **** fights with ties.

I like all the changes in the 2nd tuner set except there are way too many flash knockdowns now. I played 5-6 online matches earlier and each match had at least one flash KD. One match had 4 flash KDs in 3 rounds. I hope (and believe) this will be fixed be another tuner set.

th tuner might have done something to the stamina....but does it make any difference? played ali and he still threw 80-90 punches a round ( accelerated rounds).....

they can fix stamina, punching power, jabs, franchise mode, etc, but to have heavyweights punch 80-90 times in 2 minutes REAL TIME....is just absurd and no way close to what boxing is. pathetic to say the least.

won't we be able to adjust licensed boxer tendencies?

Licensed fighters are editable, including for the online gym (correct me if I'm wrong). I'm sure tendencies are part of the edit package.

Cool. If that's the case then I don't see the problem if they're tendencies aren't spot-on out of the box.
