For years batting down passes is something that you hardly ever see a user do. In my circle it's something that would be instantly replayed and praised. The button presses needed to pressure the QB seem to be to far away from the Triangle/Y button to jump for it to be used effectively.

My solution would be if you could press up on the right stick to bat down passes. This would only be used for the D-Line. There would be different animations used depending on if he was engaged or not.

This would allow a faster response time and it would give the defense another weapon. What do you think?
