The Panthers... Last in the league in points scored and yards gained...

I actually know nothing about Carolina past Jimmy Clausen and Jonathan Stewart, and that they were leading the Seahawks at the half in Seattle week 13. The play I remember from that game was a Lofa Tatupu pick 6.

Last year they had an average ranked defense and an average ranked run game. Their pass game was pathetic. They got 11 sacks from Johnson an have a pretty good secondary. I think they should just take AJ Green. He probably the best player in the draft an is also a huge need for them. Steve Smith has been horrible an they have a bunch of other bums at WR.

Yea, the more I think about it, the more I think they should go with A.J. Green.

Obviously the discussion is starting a bit early here... And it's probably good to start early to get some attention and gather interest...

But once the draft actually begins I'd like to try to keep the focus on the pick for that particular day. In other words, once things get going let's keep it moving... Though I think a few stray comments here and there are acceptable, and pretty much unavoidable.

I don't really know much about Carolina other than their offense overall was putrid. I'd normally say go with offensive line when you're that bad, but I don't think there's a good enough o-lineman here to justify the first pick. Do they trade down if they find a taker?

I'd like to hear a Panther fan's perspective before I make my vote.

You should reach out to Mill, and see if you can get this it's own sub-forum, would make talking for each team a little easier. Looks good.

Could probably just throw it in the mock draft subforum and have a different thread for each pick and one for all the picks thus far. You could even put a poll on each seperate thread and that way he wouldn't have to tally up the picks.

Kinda why I was holding off on making it a sticky. That forum is dead (and if it wasn't I don't think we'd even want this idea but I like it). Lets see what spit_bubble wants to do since it's his baby, but I like your idea.

Too complicated. One thread. One place where people can jump into the discussion if they feel like it. One place where they can see all that's going on. And tallying picks will take just a few minutes a day, so I don't mind.

Yeah one thread is fine I think. Probably won't even have to sticky it once it gets going.

Also, I've added a "Draft Tools" section to the first post, only rudimentary at this point. If anyone has any goods sites to add send me a private message and I'll edit them in.

See I was thinking the same thing, but from what I know about the Panthers last year is one of their best olinemen was injured for the majority of the season last year. I believe it was Jeff Otah or something. So if hes healthy next season I think they can hold off on oline for now. From what I have heard from the media an from OS AJ Green is a sure thing to make it too the NFL and since it looks like they are stuck with Jimmy they might as well give him someone to throw to.

Then again since the new coach is a defensive minded guy I could also see him selecting Nick Fairly since DT is also a need. They haven't been able to replace Kris Jenkins yet and it would go a long ways to help rebuild a once dominate dline by adding Fairly to go with Charles Johnson. I'm kinda torn on who they should take.

I would lean towards Fairley and hope he can be the Suh of the 2011 class or Bowers and hope he can become a double digit sack guy for them.

I'm not big on draft AJ Green #1 overall.

Carolina has two DEs they like already in Everette Brown and Charles Johnson, so I'm not sure that I see them taking Bowers.

I'd lean towards them taking either Green or Fairley, but does quarterback enter the picture at all, even with Andrew Luck having not declared? How do you all feel about Jimmy Clausen?
