well 11 has better graphics from everybody i talked too about it and also has gameflow and the strat pad but after that its about the same game as 10 is gameplay etc is the same, i just move up to owning a ps3 and madden was first game i got for it and i guess maybe because i don't freeze frame every play and look for all the glitches etc that are in every game made and i have fun with it does it have flaws? yes every video game made has em, far as deals most places i've seen still almost want the $50 for it unless if u go to gamestop or some place like that and maybe trade in a game u don't play anymore and get a discount off the price. also i know u can get madden 10 @ gamestop for $10

i may not be the best judge of this because I first got a ps3 last spring and got madden 10....it took a long while to adjust to the new controllers (I had gamecube prior) and sliders took longer (never really got them right). i picked up Madden 11 at Christmas.
First thought that comes to mind is that if you go for M11, get it used at blockbuster...mine cost 30 bucks...and plays fine.

The following is my opinion and in no way reflects reality.....
1. Now, M10 had better presentation. The pregame, the halftime show, and even the commentary by Collingsworth was better than M11 (for some reason he had more lines to say....M11 seems to be less lines repeated more often.
2. The play by play guy (some real dude forgot his name) is better in M11.
3. Gameplay is great IF you don't like to search and call your own plays. I prefer ASK MADDEN as I have some options, can audible, and don't have to search through reams of playbook or call the same 3-4 plays all the time.
4. I feel gameplay is better in M11. I don't know why (and again I'm more used to next gen now) but it seems more realistic to me...and closer to how old gen "felt" in terms of control of the players, plays working or not working etc. I love the fact that there are no MONEY plays (at least for me) as the computer seems to adjust to what I do.
5. I had more success with sliders in M11..again ..maybe I'm more used to it.
6. Most of the game is identical to last year in terms of menus and options....M11 has some things M10 doesn't and vice versa.

I liked the both. The only downside to madden 10 was the cap on how many created players you could make so you had to use a lot of recycled NFL greats to update your roster. Madden 10 was a solid game overall; maybe it's just me, but the pace of the game felt a little faster. I was able to adjust my sliders to find a good fit for me in madden 10. I switched over to madden 11 for 2 reasons, 1) i got bored of the same draft classes (played it so many times i even went in and edited all their names after they were drafted) 2) ncaa imports for madden 10 had issues with player models and such.

Coming from madden 10, madden 11 felt completely different. Gameplay felt different, running felt different, it just didn't feel like the same old madden. At first, it was just a pain playing it. I hated it so much; got it on sale at target and even I thought I overpaid for it. But as days grew on, i kept playing and playing and it finally grew on me. Things that stood out to me were more animations and an improved passing pocket. I loved how in madden 11 you can now throw into fade routes and receivers can fight for the ball (something that i felt wasn't included into madden 10 as receivers treated it like any other route). WRs are also more aware of the sidelines for catches now as well. Franchise is almost the same but with new draft classes and more coach models. Presentation I feel took a hit downwards as madden 10 had a better presentation overall.

Overall opinion, I think if you can find the right sliders, start with madden 10. it'll last you a while (lasted me almost 2 years, but because i got a gift card i decided to get 11). If the updated roster is what you crave, you gotta go with madden 11. Both games are very enjoyable in their own right.

Madden 11 is definitely better.

They are very similar but there are some upgrades in 11. Locomotion is one. The new lighting is another.

Is it revolutionary from 10? No, but if you want the best experience, Madden 11 is like Madden 10+.

Graphics - if you like bigger players than 10, if you prefer smaller players 11. other than that same graphics
Gameplay - madden 11
Modes - both are the same, no difference
Options - ^^
Fun - depends. franchise is the same for both. exhibition madden 11.

I will play this on my brothers xb. He use to have the game back in sept but sold it. He did remember he put the online pass code in back then. So if I buy this used will that code still be active under his gamertag or will I have to buy a new one?

I went back and checked out madden 10 and even though its a lot of similiarties to both Madden 11 is definitely better in my opinion. There was a few things 10 had that was better but overrall 11 is better..

Thanks guys. I had a old BB gift card left so got the game there. They had it used for $39.99. It was wrapped in a urine colored shrinkwrap so was a bit hesitant but put it in the XB and it works fine. Not sure why best buy picked this disgusting color to wrap used games in, not very enticing to the consumer, considering they just got into the reselling used games business.

Well I am surprised how slow the game plays, but that could be a good thing. Also as one poster mentioned, the players really small looking in this game. No biggie. I like the fact I could just play the superbowl in exhibition mode.

Hey one more thing, so when I started the game it told me that it recognized an online pass account for my bro's xbox gamertag, but it was missing or either damaged, and asked me if i want to download it again. I went ahead and said yes and it got me the online pass w/ no extra cost. Nice!

Thanks again everyone for your help. I'll do a Franchise and if it ends up sucking, I'll try 10. But I think I will like this one.

This Madden Moments Live thing is great. It sucks you have to pay for some of the season moments, but they gave the Playoffs and SuperBowl for free which is great. I just got done beating the Colts with a last sec fg by the Jets just like in real life. Really cool!

I like this game more and more. I am use to the speed now and do enjoy the slow pace. I turned off that headset thing and the gameflow is something to get use to. I also put the turbo back on because i like to have more control over my players and not the cpu.

So far so good!

I am a bit late in the reply but here goes.

Graphics - I really think 10 is better than 11, it just comes off the screen better. The lighting enhancements in 11 just don't make the game look right in some stadiums and at night.

Presentation - Madden 10 no question. Love the replays when they work. I agree with the other poster that the madden 10 players are a bit larger than 11s.

Gameplay - this is a hard one. I think 10 is more fair to the gamer, but the enhancements they made w/ animations and game speed 11 is right there. I don't think 11 is fair at all, it gets too frenzied sometimes. I do like the fact in 11 some of the qb passes go off target if you are not throwing at the right time. But I dont like how passes to WR's tend to get sucked into the WR's hands if they're anywhere close to the WR.

Modes - no question 11. I even like the little things like the super bowl mode.

Fun - I have more fun with 10 mainly because i play with my son and they have a simpler play calling mode than 11 (the one that just asks you to pick pass/run/special - does 11 have this?). Also, he loves having the Hall of Fame Rosters and he likes to put Montana on the niners. 10 is more fun w/ exhibition games but I do like 11's updated roster and schedule for Franchise.

Franchise - same.

I hope they make Madden 12 more like 10 with Presentation and keep enhancing the gameplay.

11 is much better. Locomotion and run blocking make it a much more enjoyable experience. In terms of presentation I like the more frequent auto replays in 11 as well. Feels much more like an actual broadcast.
