Type Of Pitching You're Going With This Year

Well since I started a poll about hitting figured I would start one about pitching. I am having a blast with pure analog pitching and will probably go with it this year, what about you guys?

Analog was fun, but I'm going back to meter pitching. No need to fix what isn't broken.

Analog was a pretty good addition, actually feels real.. if i make a bad pitch, i'd throw a bad one in game.. I also use classic so whatever i'm more comfy down the road but liking analog so far.

Now that I'm getting used to analog pitching, I think I'll go with it.

I'm torn between analog and meter. Still using analog in the demo, but I need to see what it feels like using the 4 and 5 guys in my rotation, not just front of the rotation guys.

Meter for me. I don't like how aiming the pitch with analog seems to only provide a reference point and very little to do with the outcome of the pitch. I think its fun but I'm just too competitive so consistency is very important.

I haven't played the demo because I already plan on buying it so I don't want to ruin myself for playing 10 just yet, lol. I do plan on using analog pitching. I always like MVP baseball's rock and fire and this seems to be alot like it. I always liked the meter and if analog has some issues then i will go back to it but looking forward to the new controls.

                          Definitely ANALOG

**have been a "Meter-only" guy in the past, but I'm really lovin' the ANALOG pitching! It is definitely more challenging, making me throw more balls up, high, outside, inside, in the dirt, etc...

**I know the learning curve has a lot to do with it, but even when I think I've got it "down" I know I'm gonna stick with analog with pitching.

IMO - analog "pitching" is the BEST added "playable" feature this year so far. (judging from the demo)

                            Yeah I'll go with that.

Always been a meter man myself, I like it, i know it, I enjoy the challenge of trying to hit spots this way.

Re: Type Of Pitching You're Going With This Year

Analog is fun, but for franchise, I will probably use classic. Last year, classic was WAY too random to be realistic. After trying it in the demo, it appears to be MUCH better this year. My breaking balls weren't feet off from where I aimed, and fastballs were typically in the area I aimed. There is some variance, but it definitely depends on if you hold the button down longer for more effort. When I hold it down until it vibrates, then there is a good chance that the pitch will have more break, but it will miss it's spot.

With Wilson, once I worked his changeup to full confidence (well, close to full), I was spotting that bad boy low and away with consistency.

I prefer classic for franchise because it does the best job in representing control and differentiating talent level IMO. With a guy like Lee, I don't want to walk a bunch of guys just because my stick skills suck. With classic, you still have to determine the effort of the pitch and location, along with mixing up your pitches, but the randomness of analog or meter in terms of user skill are thrown out the window.

And yes, I was a fan of High Heat, where most everything was atleast partially determined by the CPU. You still had a lot of input in terms of hitting and pitching, but that game seperated the good players from the bad extremely well, which I feel classic control in The Show will do as well.
