    Fight Night Champion Impressions/Questions

I am hoping its not too early to star this thread but I am psyched about the game and I am sure some OSers will get a copy this weekend.

So how is it guys? Compared to the demo or previous iterations?

    Having fun?

    Question(s):

    1) Do fights go the distance?
    2) Is it bloodier than the demo?
    3) Is the M rating only relevant to the Career mode?
    4) The AI any good?

    definitely having fun....

have had a few fights go the distance.

the blood/damage is very random. as in some fights theres much more than others. some fights theres been almost none.

    some swearing in the corner.

ai seems about on par with the last couple games.

trying some sliders in a bit.

lost a close fight between donaire (me) and gamboa.... no knockdowns.

all fights so far the cpu seems to throw between 75-90 punches a round.

dissapointing that even with the stamina down less 30% they still throw similiar amounts of punches. they don't seem interested in conserving at all.

I notice if I am patient in my fights the cpu will be patient and if I'm aggressive then the cpu becomes as well and therefore the high puch count. Still an awesome game imo

Let me clarify this a bit. They still come at you when I try to slow it up.

I wondering if a CPU patient fighter even exist??? I afraid all fights will have similar pace? Thoughts JT???

Maybe it's just me but I'm starting to get more frustrated with the Punch Output. I am fighting B. Hopkins using RJJR and Hopkins has thrown 604 punches through 5 rounds and another thing I'm noticing is it seems every fighter ends up with around a 50-55% connect rate.

Finally looks like B Hopkins has punched himself out. His PC has dropped from roughly 115-120 a round to mid 80's and he is laboring around the ring. Fatigue works thats for sure.

tweaking the sliders has definitely resulted in some better fights. punch output works as well as increasing the awareness to enhance the ai.

I agree it does seem that the pace is similiar per the weight division. the heavies definitely move more methodically but the output is still too high. The reduction in p/o helps a bunch tho.

                tweaking...........

I'm curious about replays for online fights. Can you save replays from online fights and can you view other fights that aren't yours? I know you can see the last 6 rounds but was wondering if that's only your fights.

                  thanks.

Is their any framerate problems or stutter in the game or is it pretty smooth? Thanks for the impressions.

                      Re: Fight Night Champion Impressions/Questions

it's very discouraging hearing you guys complain about the too high punch output. Lowering stamina alone will not fix anything UNLESS the cpu fighters tendencies are also fixed. Then you will get cpu fighters be gassed by the 6th round and all fights will start to feel the same like FLIGHTWHITE described.

Hopefully there is a tuner set that can make the cpu punch output slider extra sensitive, if not, there is really no point for me to get the game.

Sports sim offline gaming still exist (Show series, PES 2011) so I expect no less from FNC, they are close, but it seems like there's just that one thing that holds it back ( in this case, the cpu punch output slider)

I've lowered stamina and punch output. It certainly helps. the pace at which you fight definitely helps as well. If you are offline mostly, you'll probably be ok with the game. I've edited some ratings and really had some great fights. any patching/tuning can put this over the top imo.

I've had many fights get into the 9/10th and there is 25-30% stamina for both fighters remain. I've also seen both lower and really low on stamina. However, the current punch stamina rate recoups fast enough that they still throw punches in short burst. makes exiting opportunity at the end.

Yeah this is what I am seeing. Every fighter is gassed between round 4-6. I already know that I can just run around and jab here and there that the cpu fighter is gonna tire. Now online is a blast!!! Was leading going into the 10th rd and got dropped by Holyfield only to lose. I had the fight won but let my guard down a bit Lol!!!

Remember fellows on "Champion or GOAT" the gameplay may be different but what I'm seeing the fights play out the same. CPU 110-130 punches for roughly 5 rds then the PC drops anywhere from 80-100. Hopefully Phobia and some of the slider gurus can figure it out.

Phobia posted over on the EA boards that he's been trying to get the game to play more realistically but the Punch Output sliders don't seem to do much of anything, which is a bummer.

Each individual boxer has a punch output tendency slider that can be edited, I wonder how much that factors in compared to the global punch output sliders.
