I really like your dynasty ideas. The only thing I'd argue is that, do schools get to pick what station they are on? Obviously Notre Dame and NBC have that "buddy/buddy" thing going.. But I remember NCAA Basketball 10 had it so the big games during the week were brought to you on ESPN, but the weekend games were brought to you on CBS. Maybe they could do something like that. I do agree, though, that you should get to choose what time your games are. Maybe if they could have time zones... So that 6 o'clock in West Lafayette, Indiana would look like 3 in Eugene, Oregon (only reason I'm calling out Oregon is the fact that I stayed up from 9:15 to 12:15 watching Purdue lose 38-36 in Oregon a few years back), which brings me to my next point, show highlights of games around the nation (like NFL 2K5 did), but make sure if it's nighttime where YOUR game is, it ISN'T nighttime where it shouldn't be (basically like I stated above)

i agree with everyone who is talking about using ESPN to its full potential, why can't we have the SEC on CBS, or the "red river rivalry" or "the game" (those are texas vs. oklahoma and ohio state vs. michigan respetivly for those of you who don't know college football) on ABC, even having gameday go to the game of the week would be sweet. why is it that madden can have a pre-game, half-time, and post-game show and ncaa can't. there is so much potential to this game, ea just has to utalize itComment

NCAA Football 12 Official Ideas Thread
Leave your ideas
Dynasty
1. Spring Games- Let us hold spring practices and have recruits enroll early to
participate
2. Have a National Signing Day- You have rights to ESPN. why not use it.
3. Pick Game Times- During the pre-season, when you're picking your schedules,
why not be able to make it a 12:00, 3:30, or primetime game? you could be
limited to on 3 or so night games a year.
4. More networks- CBS, ABC, ESPN2, ESPNU. Also during pre-season when your
picking your schedules, you should be able to pick what game you want on
what network. Ex. Alabama vs LSU= 3:30 CBS.....Alabama vs Georgia
State= 12:00 ESPNU. Have Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson call SEC on
CBS games.
5. Have actual PRACTICE jerseys for practice instead of actual uniforms
6. Medical Redshirts
Equipment
1. I'm putting Dreads as equipment. DREADS, DREADS, DREADS...nuff said
2. More Revo Speeds. There are atleast 10 revo speed facemasks and only 2
were in NCAA 11.
3. Custom Sliders for socks, arm sleeves, arm bands, knee bands, etc. Instead
of having low, mid, and high socks, let us set how high or how low we
want them, same with the arm sleeves. Ex. Cam Newton's knee bands on
his socks. Most College Players socks are atleast halfway up on their leg.
4. Double Socks. Everyone is wearing double socks...EVERYONE. Give us an
option for double socks. Black on bottom, White on top, visa-versa.
5. Team Colored Socks/Cleats. This year Nike debuted the team colored vapor
carbon TD cleats.
6. Already have the 2011 Pro Combats as well as last years in the game.
7. Leg Sleeves.
8. FIX THE ANKLE TAPE!! the bulky tape is waaaay too bulky and it looks like
a cast.
9. Adidas Visors
10. Have QB style sleeves like Brett Farve and most NFL QB's wear.
11. Have an option to have the backplate showing.
12. Have some jersey come loose during the game
Road To Glory
1. Put Road To Glory on a separate disk
2. Play your whole senior season, get scholly offers in the mail. Move up in
ESPNU Top 150 Choose between The Under Armour or the US Army All
America Games. Narrow it down between 3 or 4 schools. Have a hat
ceremony and have it televised live by ESPNU. Have an option to enroll
early on campus to participate in spring practice
3. Redshirts/Medical Redshirts
4. Have the option to transfer
5. Be able to choose the uniforms for the game. I hate when I commit to
Oregon, but only can choose from 2 uniforms. Come on!
6. Senior Bowls
7. Don't Know if this could be included on Madden 12 but have the Combine
and either help or hurt your draft stock
well, thats all i can think about for now. This game has the potential to be the greatest video game ever made.

Re: Building a Better NCAA Football 12
As far as I'm concerned this should be the last feature ever included in the game. This is about as important to me as a slider for grass length in a custom stadium.
Maybe some disagree, but with football being the game of chess that it is there is SO much more you can do with the CPU AI before adding rubbish like that.

I LOVE NCAA 11 I PLAY IT EVERYDAY AND IT IS SO REALISTICE.... SOME THINGS LIKE THE BAND MARCHING ON THE FIELD LOVE IT BUT AFTER THAT IT SHOULD BE A BAND IN THE BLEACHERS(STANDS)....GAME OF THE WEEK SHOULD HAVE CORSO HEADGEAR PICK......AND YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE THE WEATHER IN DYNASTY MODE.....ALSO IN DYNASTY MODE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO ADD ON TO THE STADIUM IF YOUR DOING REALLY WELL IN YOUR SEASONS....Comment

This is gonna sound crazy, but the most important thing to me is feeling like I am watching a game on tv. So I would go as far to say that I would be okay with having the option of watching a four or five second commercial or simulation of a fake commercial in between kickoffs or series. Now on realisticness; we definitely need a halftime and postgame show. Also shots of players in the locker room before and after the game. The gameplay is great, and the engineers have worked hard and created an awesome game. But they need to make it like an Espn presentation.
(what do you think about the commercials idea? Too far?)Comment
-
Presentation
In-depth Commentary - Theirs tons of work that could be done to improve the commentary. Have the color anaylsis come up with little facts throw out the game. Talk about plays before. Some announcers on Saturday always refer back to that goaline stand in the first half or the timeout in the 3rd quarter that left them with 1 remaining.
Stat banners - I love seeing that mug of my 240 lbs RB on the bottom of the screen showing his stats while im feeding him the ball down the field.
Crowd Noise - This is what college football is all about. Have you ever been to South Bend? Happy Valley? Miles of tailgaters that are there to scream there face off for there team. Home Field Sound meter, Fans jumping, student section chanting. This makes college football so popular and could set this game apart from NHL or Madden because of the fan base. Students look forward to that Mich OSU game every year. If the away team is up by 28 here some boos from the crowd as well. You cant compare the atmosphere of college football than anything.
Overall Presentation off the field has been rather weak. Cheerleaders and bands arent present. How do you hide Notre Dames 100+ person band on the sideline of each game?
Gameplay
Weight matters - I play college football in the trenches and I cant stress enough how much you weigh matters. If my pulling guard hits a strong safety on a power that safety is going to go flying. Take some notes from NHL momentum system. If the running back hits off tackle right and the de stale mated my RT, He should fall to his knees when my RB runs in the back of him. If a DE is bull rush my RT he should start stubbling backward, maybe fall over it the DE has a rush power, He could fall back into the QB.
Player Movement - Pass rushers leaning when rushing upfield. When pass rushing you hold LT and then that enables you to use the RS and LS to swim or rip or spin move IF you hit A it bull rushes. B spins. Y jumps to put your hands up. It would make pass rushing a mini game inside the actual game. Of Defense. - RB leaning while running. If you hold Truck stick too long he could fall over or slip. - Once a defender makes contact you could mash a button (tap repeatedly) to hold on untill another defender catchs up. if you didnt hit a ball carrier head on. Also use this for diving tackles or making plays from the backside. The ball carrier would also mash to break out of the tackle. (its a mini game within a game). ALSO SAME THING FOR STRIPPING THE BALL IF A BALL CARRIER IS HELD UP LIKE THIS THE NEXT GUY COULD COME IN FOR A STRIP. If you know how football is played and play the sport like I do this is big parts of each play that are missing in this game. - Jump ball improvement. When a team is in the redzone the jump ball is a great play. Or if your 35 yards out on 2nd and 2. When a ball is in the air toward the corner of the endzone you should be able to jostle for position against the defender and jump for the ball.
Awareness
There has been great improvement in OL DL play but im a big believer that the games are won in the trenches and blocking schemes and defensive fronts should be on the top of the list to improve
Passing game in NCAA 11 was very dominate it wasnt very hard to run a slant and get a first down
Defenders need to be aware and redirect better.
SPECIAL TEAMS - 100% needs to be improved. I believe this is a forgotten area of the game of football but field position matters and Kickers and punters matter - As I said before make it a mini game inside a game. An abiity to bust through the line a block a kick must be address. Before each kick or punt you can use the PASS RUSH mode by holding LT and making a move past a blocker to break through and block a kick.
DEPTH CHART - Special Teams Depth Chart - Be able to set Groups of Backfields - Most teams use different people in different situations i.e. Wildcat
CREATE A PLAYBOOK
Ok you gave us the different styles of playbooks now give us our freedom to make our own. - Pick 15 out of Every formation possible. I love my formations I use 5 Aces 3 Ifrom 1 weak 1 strong 5 shotgun. I believe this was in NCAA 2006? - Create a Play
Offense
Defense
Special teams
DYNASTY - BOTH ONLINE AND OFFLINE
Recruiting
Coaches have ratings.
Better you do more Stars you get then you have categories where you can choose what you want to improve. Categories could include: recruiting, game planning, training, etc
Hire Coordinators which can get better like madden used to have. This helps you improve positions. Coordinators have ratings like: training, style, discipline, recruiting.
Once you have your staff you average out each rating for your staff and then that makes up how well you train players, discipline, and recruit.
Training
Were building a team but have no way to train other then game day. WE TALKING BOUT PRACTICE!
Mini camps from Madden 05 where has this been it needs back now?
August Camp you have these mini games to improve 7 or 8 players on your team
Spring Ball could have a 3 or 4 defensive and offensive practices as a unit. such as Offensive Starters going against your 3rd team defense. Then a spring game starters vs starts for first quarter then the backups get time and can improve drastically.
Position Changes Year Round
Custom schedules with custom times.
DEAN MODE. Its all about the School or University should I say. RESEARCH MVP BASEBALL 2004 DYNASTY SAME IDEA AS AD MODE - Be able to upgrade western kentucky if I win 8 NC in a row.
Have accomplishments that give your school a currency of some type (money, or just slider points) then you can buy improvements for your school
Buy new education buildings, improve teaching staff to improve academics and discipline
Hire staff to improve Coach Prestige, Coach style, Coach stability
Buy new practice fields, weights, lifting programs to improve training, facilities, campus life
Create a new stadium.
Upgrade everything from seats to pressbox to lights
Different Shapes of stadiums have different crowd factors Dome, Horsehoe, colloseum.
Designate Sections for students
Ticket prices, alumni, bowl games, other accomplishments or promotions could give you currency as well
IT WOULD BE AN ADVANCED DYNASTY MODE!
PLAYER DETAIL
Long hair out of helmet. Not only dreads but I.E. Clay mathews troy polamalu its trend in football today.
I believe this years custom player appearence wise was great lots of options of course there could always be more but im not complaining. Only a couple requests
Mirror Visors
Not so bulky Ankle tape
Im definitely on the wagon for ripped jerseys, at least untucked after a few plays.
Realistic Helmets getting popped off it happens 2-3 times a gameComment

could we have a lobby for the team builder online, can never find anyony to play online with my team builder teams if so can it be filtered mening no 8 ft. wrs or no linemen with 99 speed.i think this would be great for the people that likes to play online with there team builder teamsComment

I've just read this and I'm just amazed at how someone gets it. I agree with everything and especially the last topic of AD Mode/extensive coach mode. That would just simply be amazing and be a first day buy if that info was out. I would be one of those crazy people waiting for the store to open even if nobody else was in line (i live in a smaller town). I'd just campout in wal-mart parking lot til they opened their doors.Comment

Re: Building a Better NCAA Football 12
All I play really is offline dynasty. There are ton of things I want for that, but I would be happy with just some decent CPU logic with recruiting. I have seen teams with up to 12 QB's on the roster only a couple of seasons in, which means they are lacking players elsewhere.
I have also seen schools that run spread and options with not a single QB mobile QB (not that it really mattered since there is no rushing QB logic) It goes down the line, the CPU simply does not recruit players that fit there system.College Football
