they are good for giving a boost in ratings for a short time say you were using the kings and you had 3 days off untill your next game well if they wernt good at D you could do 2 intense shooting practices which would boost their shooting rating for a few days

The first time I discovered this I just absolutely abused it on Evan Turner. I gave him intense practices and his ratings soared. Then a week later his ratings dropped lower than his original rating.. learned my lesson.

I once abused it too just giving one player an intense practice everyday. Derozan's overall went from an 80 to an 87 by the All Star break. Haven't played the second half of the season yet, but haven't seen a drop in his ratings at all during the first half.
