How long it takes to become starter?

    Hey guys

Just wondering how long it took for people to become a starter on their my player?*

I'm a SG with the Spurs and have played 25 games averaging 35ppg.
Manu Ginobili is keeping me out of the starting lineup even though I'm outperforming him every game.

So how long did it take you guys to become a starter?

I'm on the Timberwolves and my offense is minimal to none and I just got bumped to the starting lineup after about twenty games.

For me its been as low as 12 games for my pg. And as high as 18 with my SF.

If you think it's realistic to average 35 PPG off the bench, then live with not starting.

This is my first basketball game so I'm playing on Pro difficulty. As I get more comfortable with the defence side of the game I'll crank up the difficulty.

After 31 games I knocked off Ginobili and took his place at SG.

It depends on your team as well. I'm ~50 games into the season as a 6'5" SF on the heat. I think I'll be stuck as the 6th man unless the heat decide to trade wade or lebron

kosovan...i mean this in the nicest way possible but most of your questions cant be truly answered with much accuracy since the game is arbitrarily based on performance and progression of attributes

i did, however, try to respond to your inquiry in the my player thread about the shooting problems on your team and in regards to the assists issue

Hey man. I'm only a 2K n00b this is my first ever NBA game.
I appreciate any responses I get from this forum. Your response about my shooting and assist issues are good enough for me. Thanks

It took me 4 gmaes to takeover for Bibby in Atlanta. I think its how good you do and how bad the starter does.
My Player: Antonio Guyton 6'6 PG, drafted 1 rd. 24th pick to Atlanta Hawks.

Just average 6 points and 5 assists and you will be starting in no time over CP3, D. Rose, or Deron or any other potential HOF PG.

Not entirely true. I'm 60+ games in (SF), averaging 11pts 5rbs (5min quarters), leading 6th man candidate and have never started a game.

I would love my Heat team to slide Wade to the 1 so I could start at the 2, but they haven't. Duhon (trade) has it locked down for some reason.

i started with minny at SG and after game 15 i was a starter then i got traded to the Lakers and they moved Kobe to PG and gave me 40 min a game

Haha 2k needs to fix this, no way in hell should a 43 overall player going to take the starting job from any player.

Yeah i agree, it is just unrealistic when you get the starting job over Rondo, Rose, CP3, DWILL etc. after a few games as an 43 overall
