We are monitoring and fixing issues in this thread.
Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Chase, how does the crowd look in fielding view? Last year developers made it change abruply from 3d to 2d in some portions of the screen to keep the frame rate constant I guess. That was really annoying to me, I wouldn't like to see it again this year.
I haven't played 2k ball game for a few years now so can you tell me if the hot cold zones change at all depending on the count? I really like that feature in PYS.
I don't believe they have in the past.

Thanks for answering our questions.
You know I wasn't really looking out for the crowd much while fielding since I was really just focused on not embarrassing myself.

Thanks for that preview Chase.. I'm glad you previewed & highlighted the changes you saw. Seems like VC has really though about the future of the series & choice to fix what's already there.
I'm really psyched about the Revamped Fielding System. Seems like fielding will be more challenging which is great. Risk V Reward will make for some real managing, which for adds that SIM element to the game.
Hey Chase, burgh guy here as well. How does PNC park and the buildings look? I skipped last years but I am really leaning towards a return to the series. Do you think I will be impressed with this years efforts if I skipped 2k10? The other game is just getting boring to me even though it looks beautiful. Thanks Blitz
one thing I really liked about MVP baseball was the fielding. The fielders felt very different and that made it fun. I might be a little video game-ie, but sometimes fun should trump realism. I'm hoping it will be pretty fun in 2k.
Nice preview. Sounds like they've really stepped up this year. Looking forward to picking this one up.

I agree. Never could figure that out. Wasn't the whole idea behind the "Living Roster" concept that the rosters would essentially be daily updates? If so, you'd think they could upload the mugs right off the MLB website for each player so that if the player is on the league/team website, he'd be in the game as well along with his current pic.
Does anyone know if the game will still include classic hitting?
Yeah, I know some of you guys hate it, but for old-timers like me I much prefer it (ha!)...
Thnx!
They haven't specifically said, but I'd imagine the REALLY classic way of pressing A (X on PS3) to time only is still in, as it has been the last few years.
I wish they'd reimplement the zone scheme from 2K9. Great bat to ball physics IMO and one of that game's few bright spots.
Chase, can you comment on My Player at all?
Is there any off-field interaction like NBA2K11 had?
I know next to nothing about it, but I don't believe any of that stuff is in there really.
