Franchise roster ?

I have never played 2K baseball games on the PS3, but I am interested this year in switching from The Show.

Question: If you start a franchise can you get updated Rosters or do you have to make the changes yourself? For example if you are 3 weeks into your season and the team in real life makes a trade will you get an updated roster or have to make the change yourself?

I thought I read somewhere that the 2K games are able to use live rosters but I wasn't sure if that still applied in Franchise mode.

No, the living rosters don't affect your franchise.

You would have to start your franchise after the new roster update came out. Wouldn't make much sense for an update to kick in if you were at the end of your first season ya know?
