Played the demo yesterday, and got a similar feel of what you are saying Chase. And it's funny, I did notice some player faces that were just god-awful (Ian Kinsler's to name one), and instead of being disappointed I just laughed at it because I know this game will PLAY a lot better than last year's and I look forward to the release of the full game March 8th

I'll get the demo but I doubt that I'll buy the game. I think The Show will be much better.

          Great read! Thank you!

I need to preface this by saying that I only put about 15 minutes into the demo, but was anyone else concerned by the choppiness/frame rate (360 version)? There's a definite hang-up when it switches from one camera perspective to another, like when the ball is hit into play. Not game-crushing, but takes away from immersion.

Agree that I LOVE the low camera angle after hits. How many years have people been saying that it's no fun to hit homeruns when you never even see the ball in the air? The Show has tried this to a degree, but they used to only switch to that camera for balls that were already gone. Love the perspective in 2k11.

Fielding...I need more time with it. I think it's unquestionably better. But it also seems like they just put some new meters on top of the old engine and introduced some randomness and errors. That may be enough, it may not. It does seem like infielders were bobbling the ball a TON. However, if that does something/anything to differentiate good fielders from bad ones, it may be worth it. Did have one cool play where Renteria rushed a grounder, bobbled it, and then I picked it up and launched it over the 1B's head b/c I was in the red on the meter. Pretty cool.

Anyone know if we'll be able to edit players this year without the edit limit?

Hopefully we get answers in the next week. Franchise and Customization are still big unknowns.

Yeah, a week from yesterday..so technically...hopefully we get something in the next 5 ot 6 days

I sure as hell am not going to blindly buy it without knowing what changes have been made to these modes.

Does Chase have a preview disc that he could post screen shots from? I remember Steve doing this as recently as last year. He posted stadium, sliders, etc. But this year nothing!

Supposedly there are still 2 developer diaries to come: one for Franchise and one for My Player. It would be nice if we at least got the Franchise one before release day....

That's what I'm hoping for. I kind of miss the franchise from 2k7, which was the last 2k game I've played. I enjoyed the team meetings, sliders for your managers and coaches (to fit their style), etc. I really hope they add some of this stuff back in.
