The A's lead the American League in ERA last year. Their young starters are 23-27 years old and their bullpen is vastly improved. And yet they're seventh (behind the Yankees, who have a horrible rotation) in pitching. Apparently, it's against SCEA's contract to not have the Yankees in the top 5 of anything.

They also were one of the top five teams in defense last year according to UZR. And yet they're 20th? It's time for SCEA to move into the 21st century and actually evaluate fielding beyond fielding percentage and gold gloves.

Save your energy for editiing the ratings how you like them.

I'm planning to turn Adam Dunn into a Gold Glove caliber CF

The rankings for the Marlins is a complete joke, they imo are going to be a much improved defense under new IF coach Perry Hill but given the track record I'm ok with them being 29th until they prove it.

20th pitching? Josh Johnson, Nolsaco, Javier Vasquez, Anibal Sanchez, and Volstad/Sean West is a very solid lineup if not a good one. Bullpen sucked last year, but just look at all the additions they made to it this year.

19th Batting, idk really. Lineup is full of potential with one of the best players in the MLB and when you look at it has around 4 hitters who could hit around .300. But other then Hanley yeah none of them have been up long to be deserving of higher ratings I suppose.

Either way I think they are gonna be a fun team to use.

Braves 14th pitching, really? thought they were a bit better than that. Maybe I'm a homer...

Until about 2 or 3 years down the road and their prospects take over.

I call BS on the Yankees' defense. Probably the worst part of their game is their defense (we'll see if it comes to bite them in September this year).

I agree with Jays being around middle of MLB but how do they have such bad pitching? They improved in pitching in offseason so I see them being no worse then 18th in pitching.
