How to stop the HB toss from the Goalline?

I feel like I've tried every possible play from the goalline defensive formation but haven't been able to stop it or even get anybody in position to stop it. Which is pretty frustrating when I know it's coming.

    Any help?

Is that the only way? It seems like there would be some kind of play with a corner blitz that could blow it up without using the cheesy run commit.

Out of goaline yes. The goaline is useless against outside runs.

            A) That isn't true, and B) if you run commit you are a cheeser period.

Run commit is broke this year any way. I love when cheesers use it.

As for your question, I use the 3-3-5 playbook. You can use Split Switch. That leaves both CBs in hook zones on the outside. If you show blitz the SSs don't back up too quickly. If you want you could also put them in hook zones to keep them close to the line of scrimmage.

That can be risky though if they do decide to pass. If they run toss every time they need a few yards, they are cheesy, but then you can play w/ both those SSs.

I usually leave the SSs as is and put both LBs behind the line (not the one in the DE position) in contain. That way they help stop everything to the outside.

At that point most blockers are occupied and you can user the FS and make the tackle if no one else does.

his question was how to stop it out of the goaline formation on defense. Not the 3-3-5...the goaline defense does not have very effectice plays against outside runs...

Easy.. 3-3-5 Middle Blitz. Contain DE's, and spy all of your linebackers. Spread the DL, control the safety, and you should blow it up.

How is run committing cheesy? If you choose the wrong side you get completely owned.

Hmm.. I run the 4-3 playbook and don't have a 3-3-5 package. I may go the 4-4 route and work on that some more in practice mode.
