    Tsuyoshi Nishioka CAP help needed

He's the Twins new starting 2nd baseman. I don't know a lot about him except that he has above average speed, a weak arm and that he won the Japanese batting title last year.

I would like to create him right when I get the game and begin my franchise.

Can I use a ratings calculator and input his Japanese stats? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you get this done, please upload it to the roster vault! I'd love to use him tomorrow and I suck at anything appearance related when it comes to creating guys!

Here's what I have for him based on 2011 MLB projection systems ...

      CR/CL: 78/80
      PR/PL: 32/33
      BT/DB: 72/68
      VI/DI: 71/64
      CLT/DUR/SPD: 72/91/94
      BAB/BAG: 91/67

I need to look up his fielding stuff because the "replacment level" type system is not going to work for a guy like him.

From what I understand is he's still in between SS/2B, so his fielding ratings would need to take that into consideration.

Thanks so much triplethreat! Those ratings look pretty good. I know nothing about his fielding except his arm is weak and he played SS in japan.

Yeah and it's been officially announced couple of days ago that he will officially play SS and Casilla 2B. Looking forward to a CAP of him too as the Twins are my favorite team.

For what it's worth, it's the other way around. Nishioka is playing 2B and Casilla will play SS.

The contact/power rates seem about right, but I would lower the speed/baserunning a bit. He's quick, but he's not going to steal 40 bases. Those ratings will lead to a 40+ steal player. I would give him around 80 speed and 75 BR ability.

As far as fielding, he is known a very solid fielder, but he doesn't have a great arm. I would go something like:

              THP: 55
              THA: 75
              Reaction: 75
              Fielding: 80

Yeah his baserunning and speed need to be dropped. All the numbers that you have here look great. I gave him shin soo choos stance btw.

I'm going to give yours a look now, the other one I downloaded guy had him better than Joe Mauer. I just struggle to find it plausible, Nishi is going to be nearly as good as these caps are making him. Thanks for taking the time to create it tho, but I'm going to have to tone him down quite a bit.

After opening day when he gets added to the SCEA roster will his name all of a sudden show up one database for audio?

I uploaded my Tsuyoshi to the vault amongst the many. I rated mine lower because I don't want him to be rated higher than Morneau. He's slotted between Delmon Young and Denard Span in overall rating. I think putting him around Spans overall is pretty close.

I thought yours looked really good and 'Liked' it on the Player Vault. Nice work. One question I have is how tall is he? I've seen both 5' 11" and 6' 1". If he is 5' 11", you may want to update your CAP.
