Why? They didn't add much. This could be MLB10.5

It seems like all of the "big name" review sites give almost every sports title a random 8 - 9 score each year. I don't know if they have a bunch of writers who aren't all that into sports or what, but unless the game is a complete lemon, it's really hard to take they're overall scores seriously.

i respectfully disagree. on face value, it may be MLB 10.5, but there are a lot of improvements under the hood. as a total package, this game is sport bliss and baseball heaven. it should have been rewarded with a higher score.

This is why IGN has just been so sad over the years.

This made me laugh. Graphics- "The stadiums don't have much visual pop or wow factor"


Are you kidding me, the stadiums are what make the graphics what they are and that's amazing, This is why I only go to IGN just for news updates, they are truly pathetic.

Personally I think this game is leaps and bounds better than 10. I was playing 10 for a couple weeks leading up to the release of 11 to get back into the flow. I've noticed huged differences.

I'm expecting the gametrailers score to give the game a little more justice. 8 is a good score but considering 10 got a higher score from IGN and 11 is better in pretty much every way, it goes to show you their score is too low.

This reminds me of IGN's review of NHL 11. Almost like they didn't even play the game and write their review based on the new features on the game's web site. on the NHL 11 review, they missed the complete overhaul of the Be a GM mode, so it was inexcusable.

I hate IGN so much now.

Bad review , the pitching is the best !! The game plays so good now , especially on legend and hof!!! At least a 8.5 - 9.0

I don't get why people get so hung up over reviews. With a game like the show you can pretty much determine weeks ahead of time if you are going to get it. Who cares what random sites think of it. I can understand if its a game your iffy on but you know The Show is going to deliver.

Have you seen the IGN writers? None of them look like they have any athletic experience in any of them. Don't go off of what un-knowledgeable writers have to say. That's why they have sites like this great one

Come on fellas, are you seriously going to question IGN members review because you think they are not athletic at all. LOL

I am sure all forum members here are prime for athletic of the year.

Hillary is a good sports fan and if you follow him on Twitter you see how he talks about all sports and loves his GS Warriors

You guys were not bashing him when he gave rave review for NBA 2K11


The score is fine, because scores are based on how the game progresses.

If this was a score of just gameplay I bet he gives it a 9 or more

But he has to take into consideration new modes and presentation
