Overall, Major League Baseball 2K11 is finally the game that many 2K Sports fans have been waiting for, and at the very least, the gameplay and presentation is exciting and engaging. Check this title out.

For the most part I'd agree with him, as soon as they clean up the glitches/bugs this game will be fantastic. Definitely has more replay value then most games I play.

The same Jonah Falcon who got banned from this site, for constantly trolling The Show forums, and admitted 2K fan through and through? Lets not get started on what he posts in comment sections on Pasta Padre's site.

Far from "fair". But ok.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but he is FAR from not bias or led a certain way with his opinions on "baseball gaming".

Not calling this game a "turd", not in the slightest. It has definitely made strides in the gameplay arena. But a 90+? Come on man. There is still so much to polish, add, correct in this series before it can approach that closely NBA2K score line averages.

interesting, strategy informer has changed their review from a 92 to an 88....maybe they spent a little more time with the game and found something they didnt like. I would give it an 82 or 83 personally.

The final score is linked to the reader scores. His score is still 9.2.

Johah definitely has a way of getting on folks nerves, so it doesn't surprise me that he would get himself into hot water in The Show forum. it's not like dissension is tolerated in there at all. And he won't roll over becasue the power structure there tells him how wrong he is.

I've had plenty of disagreements with him over reviews in the past, as he's been around for at least 16 years going back to the PC sports game group on Usenet. But he is always honest about his takes on games.

More importantly, he has been playing and reviewing sports games for a longtime, and has pretty good perspective on their progression, and what makes a sports game wort or fail. As opposed to 90% of the reviews you find on the internet that are done by video game guys that don't really have an appreciation of the sport at all.

Not great game, but a good game with the potential to be a really good game once/if they get some of these flaws worked out

I don't need to feel sour about anything. He got himself banned for trolling. He also trolls PP's site with much bias. My point is, he is far from "fair", when in the past he had admitted to being partial to 2K as a whole.

And the game is not NBA2K level for scoring. That is a fact. Not saying it is bad. But clearly a bias if you think it is in that arena for scoring.

This I can agree with. The mainstream sites are notoriously guilty if this. Especially for baseball.

But if you avoid the mainstream, there are plenty of sites that, while may not be the popular, have well written and appreciative reviews.

Well, let's see... this is a message board, and this thread is about a review, and Enigma commented on the score within said review. He disagreed with the score and told you why. Or is this a positive impressions only thread?
