I also agree. I have both games (both opened but I traded games in so I only really paid for one was my rationalization).....I love the show, have for however many years its been made, but towards the end of last year it started getting stale for me. It just seemed like it was the same thing each year. I am a classic controls kind of guy, I dont like the analog controls so that being the new thing didnt really interest me. 2k has some things I think are odd, The "milisecond" freezing is odd but doesnt impact my opinion very much. Its a fun game to play. Presentation wise its outstanding. Graphics probably are better on the show, but there is nothing wrong with these I dont think. Just my opinions people need to relax and not act like we are insulting your mother by saying we prefer 2k this year. Its kind of ridiculous.

Definitely an improvement! and thanks for the impressions I agree that this game biggest problems have to do with polish. The base is solid though

The graphical glitches don't bother me in the least. The game plays a fun game of BB and I am very happy with my purchases. I do think they need to fix stat glitches. I got a hit in an inning, got caught stealing (once when I was five) and I noticed the game didn't count it as a hit.DON'T PANICComment

The thing is with all that said even if I agree in spots, this game still deserves a good review. That's the question I guess. Do you review a game based on it's technical perfection or do you base your review on just how good a game is. It should be a little of both but I honestly can't see this game getting a 7. IT's just a better game than that. I like it better than the show and it's not because i don't understand the show or am not hardcore enough for it. I just prefer this game.Comment

I tolerated a lot more bugs and disjointed faces with HH Baseball because that played a great stat filled game. HH Baseball was in my CD drive for years and it was much buggier.
Depends on your tolerence of overlooking a few bugs vs great game play. I'm sure the bugs will be ironed out in a patch down the road and this game will be even better.Comment

Or some people don't have a PS3 and don't have the extra $200-300 to buy one plus a $60 game. It's definitely not about "intimidation". 2k11 is a blast. I feel sorry for the "The Show" homers who look down upon this game because the graphics aren't the best around. After 5 games of 2k11 baseball it reminds me alot of my golf game. I usually hit 8-10 good to great shots ( including putts) the other 90-100 go from not to bad to awful, but I keep going back out there. I see that being the case with 2k11 baseball, especially the MLB today feature.Comment

What if i was to tell you in the last 3 years I have twice bought a ps3 with the sole reason of playing the show and returned them both times. Last time just last week.
Yes, The Show is technically better then 2k, but IMO the Show is boring as all heck. I have tried so many times to play that game and it just bores me to tears. Its dull and robotic, and just so scripted as if everything you do has been pre-determined a split second before you actually do it. Its "too precise" or too canned if that makes any sense?
Im with Corey, the "whole" of 2k is so much more "fun" then the show. In the years that 2k has been "unplayable" i have ended up just sitting out baseball. Thats how much I dont like The Show.Chicago Cubs

2K11 is improved over the last few years, now it's a C+. The Show is a lot less "boring" for 11. Maybe you should check it out first, but then again many people think the game of baseball is boring. Why? Because they are casual fans, who just enjoy the atmosphere or presentation. They don't really know the game nor appreciate it. To those, choose the fun game! Apples and Walnuts...Comment
