What would you do?

So I always play 2-3 seasons w/ my Buckeyes. In 2003 when Maurice Clarett was suspended, I sat him out all season. Felt like I had to to make it realistic. With Pryor, Posey, Boom, and others being suspended, should I sit them out the first 5 games? What would you do?

I would. I sat Ben Roethlisberger first 4 games in madden 11. It makes it feel more realistic and fun.

Allow them to take off Mashup/Mascot mode and ONe Button mode

ummm...so you did it before but now you are wondering if you should do it again? I wouldn't see why not...makes most sense, especially since you have done it in the past.

Since the game has no facility for suspending players, or players getting in trouble (like they did in last gen) then you're subjecting your team to a penalty that every other team is virtually immune to. So if you think it'll be fun, then by all means do it, but if you're doing it for the sake of "realism" I wouldn't worry about it. There are about 100 other things you'd also need to tweak if you're going that route. It's an alternate universe after all

ummm...so you did it before but now you are wondering if you should do it again? I wouldn't see why not...makes most sense, especially since you have done it in the past.

In 2002, Clarett was gone and not coming back, so it made it easier to bench him. I guess it's an arcade v. simulation argument. I'm a big fan of realism, which is probably why I'll bench them, but those first five games will not be as much fun to play.

I also sit down Clarett the entire year in our online dynasty that year. I will also set down the five guys this year in my dynasty as well.

It adds the "sim" feel to the game, if thats what you're looking for.

Plus, who wouldn't be anxious to try out Braxton Miller and Rod Smith?

Amen to that man...it's all the more fun when you do something realistic and it yields you some great results!

Since Tressel is out for five games also, I guess I'll have to make a few stupid play calls to make up for the lack of a head coach. If the game is like '11, I'll run a few play action pass plays that usually result in a sack. Or maybe call plays blindfolded...

I'm interested to see what B. Miller's ratings will be, as well as the stable of RB's.
