I found the game to be very fun out of the box. I have tested extreme slider sets over the last few days and found the experience not as fun.
I'm taking the approach of the positive 1st day reaction of the game. Therefore I wanted to keep as many sliders as possible at 50.
However, I have become better at the game since breaking the shrinkwrap. I'm sure you have too, so time for more extreme slider settings to increase challenge but still add excitement.
Goals of these sliders STILL are:
-keep hit totals down (between 4-14 hits 90% of the time)
-Find the right balance of speed (running and fielding)
-Hit variety (make it a challenge to find the best timing window for hitting the ball square and be able to see pitch movement-curve/sliders should break noticeably)
-Realistic pitcher fatigue which should help CPU manager AI for pitching changes, defensive subs and pinch hitting decisions)
